This is a range control panel insert. This part fits over the top of the control panel and marks the burner control settings. Over time, the control setting markers on this part could wear off so that they can no longer be seen. If this is the case, the control panel insert can be replaced so that the correct settings can be used. If this part becomes discolored or otherwise worn in any way, the appliance owner may wish to replace it for cosmetic reasons. Unplug the oven unit from its power source prior to attempting to replace this part. The person performing the replacement may wish to wear gloves to protect the hands during this process.This part is compatible with electric ranges that are manufactured by the GE brand. 1) Unscrewed the metal pieces behind the switch panel. You'll notice 3 screws. Afterwards, I realized that I just needed to remove the screws to the left and right of the switch box. The box then slides out.
