Plus there were diagrams and forum discussions that boosted my confidence on repairing ourself. Using your parts diagrams and our manual information, we pulled... Read more
This motor stator is the stationary windings for a direct-drive washer motor. Working with the rotor, it creates the magnetic field that turns the basket. Replacing a failed stator restores consistent wash and spin performance. What it does
Once you tilt the washer and prop it against something it's a pretty straight forward and easy fix. If you watch the instructional "How-to" video beforehand, the repair should take between 30 to 60 minutes. It all depends on your skill level and if everything goes smoothly. Make sure you have all the proper tools, grease and blue thread lock at the ready to help you move this repair along faster. This repair was in conjunction with replacing the motor position sensor. I didn't know I needed a... Read more

Refrigerator not cooling but freezer works? A failed evaporator fan motor stops cold air circulation. Moderate difficulty repair requires panel removal.
The evaporator fan had stopped working and caused the entire area around it to ice up. No air flow was getting from the freezer to the fridge. I replaced the damper control (it was rusted, not sure if it was workign or not) and the evaporator fan. It was a very quick repair once I diagnosed the problem. The most time consuming part was taking all the compartments apart to get to the affected area. Read more

The only unforeseen problem is there was a black wire that had to be transferred to the three prong wiring harness. Read more
Fix uneven cooling or warm spots in your fridge with this evaporator fan motor. Restores airflow across coils when the fan runs weak, noisy, or stops.
Lack of water was due to frozen water reservoir on refrigerator side. Frozen water was due to temperature issues - cold on bottom of both freeder and refrigerator side, warmer at top. This was caused by evaporator fan failure. The fan had come loose from its housing and eventually vibrated itself to death - wire leads had vibrated open. Since the fan/wire harness are integrated, I needed to replace the unit. Evaporator fan blade took a beating too, so I replaced that as well. Online repair... Read more
