Squeaky noise and not fully drying David H. • Santa Clarita , CA • September 20, 2019
Originally the dryer was squeaking a lot, so I purchased a new belt tensioner, but the original tensioner was an old-style no wheel tensioner, so that wasn't the source of the squeaking.
I saw a lot of lint had built up inside the unit where there shouldn't have been that much. So I viewed a few videos on the Appliance Pros site and saw that the rear wheel guides were the cause of the squeaking and the rear felt drum and blower housing seal needed to be replaced. The rear blower housing was...

Took to long to dry John R. • Delphi , IN • January 02, 2015
After reading the reviews of others, I ordered and replaced the heating element, thermostat, cut-off & the moisture sensor bars. It was a success!
The element was definitely bad on one end, the wire was burnt in two pieces. Now it doesn't take 3 hours to dry a load! Well worth the money I spent. Easy to fix & do it yourself. I watched the video before buying the parts just to make sure that it was something I wanted to tackle. Very easy with the video. Great job Appliance Pro's!

Very loud and squeaky Michael M. • Chesapeake , VA • April 09, 2018
Replaced the Rollers, Pins, belt and belt tensioner. One thing to keep in mind. In the video it was said that the back and front roller pins were different by lengths. They were the same length for my model. The differences were found to be the rear pins have left handed threads and the front ones were standard right hand threads. Keep that in-mind when you are trying to remove them.

Dryer won't start, makes grinding noise, or drum won't spin? The drive motor powers the drum and blower. Moderately difficult repair, about 1 hour.

Motor would not start when start button pressed for one second lights up and hear motor solenoid click but no start Anthony Y. • Kaneohe , HI • October 11, 2014
Checked thermal fuse, belt pulley switch, door switch, and motor windings (primary 2.3 ohms start 2,2 ohms).
Called Appliance Pros, told them my problem. They said that it appears to be the motor even though the ohm readings seam Ok and that I could return the motor if it was not the problem.
I ordred the motor and blower wheel.
Installed the new motor and everything worked!
The only difficult part was that the motor blower had to be chiseled out.
Their motor repair video was a great help.

Towels started taking a long time to dry. Kevin M. • Middleville , MI • October 31, 2020
My dryer lint filter was clogged beyond regular cleaning due to its age. After 15 years of daily use it was time to replace. In.the process of determining why the dryer was taking so long to dry loads, I noticed the filter housing gasket had torn off somehow which allow a lot of lint to pass through into the dryers main housing. I believe this prevented the dryer to have good air flow. Replacing both the filter and its housing was easy and fixed the problem pronto! I saved myself $1000 by...
