Dave March 04, 2013 for Model Number SHV46C03UC/21 My Bosch dishwasher runs fine with the door closed. My problem is it is so quiet we can open the door accidentally while its running. Isn't the door supposed to lock while in operation? Will replacing the door latch likely fix this problem?
1 Answer Hello Dave, The door will open during a cycle and is supposed to interrupt the cycle. Changing the door latch will not change this since it is the products design. Read More...
Lilian February 06, 2013 I replaced the Latch ,becauce I couldn't get the door to close due to the latch stuck in a position that it wouldn't let me close it. I tried to put it back in position with two screw drivers but broke the plastic. But when I close the diswasher with the new latch it won't open!!! Help!! I don't have the model number with me , but the latch is all white plastic with a small medal bar.
1 Answer Hello Lilian. Check the strike and make sure it is good. It sounds like the latch needs to be installed properly into the door. Read More...
Scott November 11, 2012 for Model Number shx33a05 uc/22 When the door is open when I press the on/off button the unit starts to drain. What part could be the problem?
1 Answer Hello Scott, Turn the power off to the unit and remove the water inlet valve. There is a flood switch in the bottom of the unit just behind the water inlet valve. There will be water in the bottom of the unit that will need to be cleaned out. Be careful not to damage the styrofoam float used for the flood switch! Once this is done, the water inlet valve 00425458 is normally what causes this issue to occur. When the valve doesn't fully open, the water splatters from the fill assembly in the upper left hand side of the lower machine compartment. When the flood switch is activated, the only thing the unit is able to do is drain out. Read More...
Je June 05, 2012 for Model Number SHU9915/UC11 I have examined the wiring harness and do not see any obvious breaks or bad connections. How difficult is it to replace the harness? The lower end of the harness seems to enter into the bottom of the diswasher through a narrow slot. I can not see how or where it connects. What is the part number for the harness?
1 Answer Hi. Not Available As A Service Part (wire Harness) - This part has been discontinued and is no longer available. Item Number:999003. You have to remove the dishwasher completely. The base is a "Clam shell mounted" type as you disconnect one side and then "open the tub from the base assy. It is normal to un hook the lt. Side and hinge the rt. side (from the front view). Joe Q. June 05, 2012 for Model Number shu 9915uc/11 I have now replaced the on/off switch(p/n 165886) the control module(p/n 265401)and the door safety switch(p/n 3194809)on my dishwasher. When I depressed the on/off button on the panel there was a quick blink of one of the red lights on the panel and then nothing. I have reset the circuit breaker several times even though it seems fine. There are no electrical problems in the house. What should I look at next?
1 Answer Hello Joe. If the wiring in the house is good, then it sounds like you may need to replace the wiring harness on the unit. It sounds like the wiring harness may be bad, or there may be a loose connection on the unit. Read More...
Joe June 01, 2012 for Model Number SHU9915uc/11 I just received a replacement door switch assembly part number AP3194809 and tried installing it. When i removed the individual wires from the old switch i had some trouble and lost track of what wire went where. There are 3 individual wires. The wire for the middle pole is obvious because it has a plastic cap on it. That leaves me with a double red and white wire and a single purple wire. The end clips on both are the same and i am not sure which one goes where. Of the 2 remaining poles on the switch one is much longer and enters on the side of the switch.
1 Answer Joe, Based on the information we have : the double white with red stripe wires should attach to the silver latch terminal ( the long one that enters the side of the switch. The purple wire should attach to the other "outside" terminal, and the remaining wire attaches to the middle terminal. And here's a way to verify the switch is wired correctly "With door open, turn on dishwasher –keep door open. If display doesn’t turn on, immediately turn off dishwasher and reverse door latch terminal." Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
Joe May 30, 2012 for Model Number BOSCH SHU9915UC/U11 My dishwasher stopeed running mid cycle. Tried all reset instructions from Bosch but basically all light on the door top panel went out and then came back on intermitantly. I replaced the on/off switch(165886) and the control module(265401) but still have no power to the panel. What else could it be?
1 Answer Hello Joe. Check the electrical connection to the dishwasher and the door switches 00165926 on the unit. It sounds like a loose connection or a bad door switch. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
