Hello Dave, The door will open during a cycle and is supposed to interrupt the cycle. Changing the door latch will not change this since it is the products design.

Hello Lilian. Check the strike and make sure it is good. It sounds like the latch needs to be installed properly into the door.

Hello Scott, Turn the power off to the unit and remove the water inlet valve. There is a flood switch in the bottom of the unit just behind the water inlet valve. There will be water in the bottom of the unit that will need to be cleaned out. Be careful not to damage the styrofoam float used for the flood switch! Once this is done, the water inlet valve 00425458 is normally what causes this issue to occur. When the valve doesn't fully open, the water splatters from the fill assembly in the upper left hand side of the lower machine compartment. When the flood switch is activated, the only thing the unit is able to do is drain out.

Hi. Not Available As A Service Part (wire Harness) - This part has been discontinued and is no longer available. Item Number:999003. You have to remove the dishwasher completely. The base is a "Clam shell mounted" type as you disconnect one side and then "open the tub from the base assy. It is normal to un hook the lt. Side and hinge the rt. side (from the front view). Thank You.

Hello Joe. If the wiring in the house is good, then it sounds like you may need to replace the wiring harness on the unit. It sounds like the wiring harness may be bad, or there may be a loose connection on the unit.

Joe for Model Number SHU9915uc/11

I just received a replacement door switch assembly part number AP3194809 and tried installing it. When i removed the individual wires from the old switch i had some trouble and lost track of what wire went where. There are 3 individual wires. The wire for the middle pole is obvious because it has a plastic cap on it. That leaves me with a double red and white wire and a single purple wire. The end clips on both are the same and i am not sure which one goes where. Of the 2 remaining poles on the switch one is much longer and enters on the side of the switch.

Joe, Based on the information we have : the double white with red stripe wires should attach to the silver latch terminal ( the long one that enters the side of the switch. The purple wire should attach to the other "outside" terminal, and the remaining wire attaches to the middle terminal. And here's a way to verify the switch is wired correctly "With door open, turn on dishwasher –keep door open. If display doesn’t turn on, immediately turn off dishwasher and reverse door latch terminal." Good Luck and Thanks

Hello Rob. It sounds like the latch is not positioned properly. Make sure everything is lined up correctly and there is nothing in a bind in the latch and strike plate assembly 00419828. If everything is installed correctly, it should latch properly. Hope this helps.

Hello Jennifer. Here are the instructions from the manufacture. Remove fascia panel from console by removing four (4) T-20 Torx screws. Remove the console and access the latch assembly. Remove the old latch assembly and install the new one. Reinstall in reverse order. If you are still having problems with the install, you can try posting your question on our repair forum for the technicians to see. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/
