Jerry S March 22, 2015 for Model Number thermador sc272tb I just bought this oven it was in storage, like brand new bottem oven and rack look like never used. When I installed it works great. The only thing is I can hardly read the control pad. Is there a back light or led. The clock and temperature light up real bright.
1 Answer Jerry, With the touch pad not being able to be read the issue would be the touch control glass part number 00486796. Read More...
John R March 04, 2015 for Model Number Thermador SC302T The upper oven heating element ( not convection element) shorted out ,melting a piece of the coil ( large flash ! ) . I ordered and installed the replacement element from you and it installed without a problem. The issue is now that the oven will not heat up , even on convection setting. The lower oven works just fine . I suspect that this is a result of a problem with the control panel electronics. Any suggestions and if so can you help verify replacement part number ? The part number I have off of the unit is 14-38-01267. Thanks so much , John
1 Answer John, The most likely cause for the unit not working would be the relay board. The relay board is no longer sold as a separate part and you would have to get the Oven display repair kit part number 00702451. Read More...
Matt L February 10, 2015 for Model Number SC272TS Had the dim light on the clock. Ordered the replacement kit. Display is bright. Everything about the touch sensor works fine. Bottom oven works fine. The problem is the top oven. I enter the type of cooking and then the temperature, and about 1-10 seconds later, the oven turns off. Clock never goes away. If the bottom oven is already on, when the top oven shuts off, the bottom will also shut off. The top oven will not bake, broil, convection, or heat up in any way. I can enter the temperature, I hear everything click and turn on, but then immediately click and turn off. I went back to the old control board with the new display board, so the F5 error stopped, but the top oven still turns off after entering the desired temp and still overrides the bottom oven and turns the bottom one off too. Matt
1 Answer Hello Matt. You need to go over all connections and make sure they are good and tight. Also, look for any bad wiring on the unit. This can cause the unit to have issues. Read More...

Paul K January 05, 2015 for Model Number SCD302TB01 Good Afternoon I have a Thermador double wall oven, (built-in). It gets used daily, as it is in a small coffee shop/bakery. I am assuming it is approximately 10 yrs. old. The previous owners have had some work done on it. I am having a few issues with it lately and would like to tackle the fixes myself, if possible. 1) the display is quite dim and sometimes hard to read. 2) the timers, which used to beep intermittently until shut off, now only beep once. 3 the bottom oven will not come up to temperature, it only gets warm. 4) This is the major reason I am writing. The top oven when set on bake, for no reason after a short time, decides to turn on the broiler. Burning most everything before we even notice. I am willing to buy the parts and install them, but when on your website searching for parts I get confused as to which parts I need and if the are the right ones Is this worth fixing? Specifically which parts do I need. Thank you Paul K
1 Answer Paul, The most likely issue with the unit will be a display board and relay board that are faulty. You will want to replace the oven display repair kit which is part number 00702451. Read More...
Sharon December 05, 2014 for Model Number SCD302TS I have a Thermodor double oven, both ovens worked fine, but the display was dark. I had it repaired, now the display and top oven work but the lower oven and oven lights do not work. Can you give advise please
1 Answer Sharon, With the oven and the lights not working after having the display repaired, this sounds like it would be caused by something not being reconnected properly. Double check all connections and make sure that everything is connected and make sure that there are no pinched wires. If this all checks ok then you would need the oven display repair kit 00702451. George October 16, 2014 for Model Number SCD302TP I have a double convection oven. The display is dead. Is ther a repair kit for this?
Schmo February 26, 2014 for Model Number Sc302tb Model is 10 yrs old. Replaced coil 3 myths ago. Replaced display board 6yrs ago. Convection baked tripped breaker and would not reset. Tech notion found a wire that was touching a lug but never seated. Oven powered ok and thought all was ok. Now for 1st time in 10 yrs we see the convection coil light up on bake preheat. Found tonight, first use after repair, that a) convection coil DOES NOT turn off when oven reaches temp. Bake coil does. And oven gave an F2 code, was set at 350, and read 350. Not sure where to go from here.... Thx
1 Answer Hello Schmo. Based on the information and code provided, you need to replace the main relay board in the unit. Read More...
Mike February 25, 2014 for Model Number Thermador SC302TS double oven Our double oven is about 15 years old and the display gradually dimmed over the years to the point it is now completely dark. Both ovens still work fine, just the display doesn't show. I ordered the parts kit last week and it arrived in 2 days, thanks for great service. Now my questions: The parts kit includes 2 circuit boards & a wiring harness. The display board is easy to access and not an issue. The "relay board" on the other hand is not easy to get to. Is it essential that the relay board be replaced to remedy the non-visible display problem? If so, what is the easiest way to access it? Hopefully, the ovens do not have to be removed from the wall.
1 Answer Hello Mike. In this case, you do have to remove the oven from the wall and remove the top of the unit. Then you can access and replace the relay board on the unit. Read More...
