Hello Jeff. There is a leak in the base of the unit and it is causing the float to turn on the pump. You will need to repair the leak in the unit.

Additional information for my first question regarding this part. The water inlet valve is working because water coming to the dishwasher according to cycle programs. But it stops on certain level and circulation pump sucks the water and the air which cause dropping of water pressure in wash arms. When I manually add about one quarter of gallon of water to the system everything start to work perfectly fine. I guess the pressure in chamber affected the micro switch earlier than intended that caused water inlet valve to shut off earlier. Am I right or wrong? Can new replaced Control Module cause the problem? Can I adjust micro switch position or other moving parts in pressure chamber to avoid the situation or I need definetely buy new part? Can it caused by pressure chamber misplacing during my repair? Thanks in advance for your time. Regards, Yefim

Hello Yefim, These units have a flood switch made under the unit in the base assembly. If water down there raises the float even by a hair, the unit will drain the water out and will not complete the washing cycle. The most common cause or the issue is the water inlet valve not fully opening, which causes a dribble of water from the fill assembly on the side of the unit. This small dribble accumulates in the main base and generates the issue.

Hello Kent, I would try replacing the water inlet valve 00425458. This is the most common failure on this model and the pressure chamber is controlled by the water pressure that the water inlet valve allows to pass. If the water inlet valve doesn't open sufficiently, the issue will occur.

Warren, If we understand your post, The float safety level and switch activate and turn on the drain pump, should there be an overfill situation. If there is "corrosion" or deposits on the assembly, it's probably best you replace it. We'll send you some additional information that should help you out. Thanks

The hot water just keeps pouring into my dishwasher even when the power isn't on. As long as the water valve under the sink is turned on it will flow right into my dishwasher and it will simply overflow onto my floor. I checked the water inlet and cleaned that to the best of my ability and the water seems to flow through that right into the pressure chamber but doesn't fill it up, just flows right through it and into the tank. What do you think it is?

Water fills the bottom tray and the pump would not shut off once the cycle is complete. I moved the dishwasher out to observe where the water is coming from. The Pressure Chamber has a hole in the upper section. When the relay opens the water supply, the pressure chamber starts leaking out of that hole towards the end of just about each of the three fill cycles. After about 4 to 6 washes, the there is enough water in the bottom to raise the float and cause the drain motor to run.The only way to stop it, is to empty the water. This dishwasher was designed to work this way, I guess.Anyway, I reduced the supply pressure to see if that would make a difference, but it did not. What is causing this problem? Should I replace the pressure chamber and/or switch level assy, or something else? Thanks for your advice!

Peter, you need to replace the pressure chamber, just like you thought. " Normal fill:Water rises to proper level, pushing air in pressure chamber which operates diaphragm. Overfill:Water rises too high & operates float switch, causing drain pump to remove water from sump." Thanks and Good Luck

Terry, You'checked the drain hose for clogs, Did you also check, Dishwasher filter(s) arms and sump for clogs or debris. When you have the filters out, you also want to check the sump, and sump outlet, and make sure the drain impeller vanes are not clogged or worn down. If alls OK, you'd want to disconnect the drain hose from the drain system connection under the kitchen sink, and drain the dishwasher into a large bucket, this will flush the drain line, and varify if the drain pump is operating properly. Thanks and Good Luck

Hi Harold. The internal black part is no longer available separately. The manufactures have gone to supplying sub assy. as many parts that work together directly. It is better for both replacement and any updates needed are included. Pressure chamber part # 00499500. Thank You.
