The Dishwasher Control Board is an OEM part for Frigidaire dishwashers. It operates as the central "brain" of the dishwasher, controlling functions like cycle selections, wash and rinse levels, heating elements, and input/output sensors.

Causes can be circuitry failures, moisture damage over time, or physical stresses from vibration.

Symptoms of a bad control board include:

  • Cycle failure or inability to start or complete washing
  • Temperature or input/output sensor malfunctions
  • Fault codes appearing or strange appliance behavior
  • Unresponsive buttons or input failures

This OEM Frigidaire part can also be used on Electrolux, Frigidaire, Gibson, Kelvinator, Westinghouse, and Sears/Kenmore.

Bob, Based on your post information, we wouldn't think you'd need a control board, but it's a remote possibility. With the heater and thermostat checking OK, and the heater activating in the test mode, your first check needs to be the water temperature in the bottom of the tub on the initial fill of a cycle. The water temperature needs to be at least 120-125 dgrs.F. If the water isn't hot enough, the control can't increase the water temperature and produce enough stored heat in the tub and articles to properly dry the dishes. Also make sure you're using a rinse agent to help disperse the water off the articles.

Hello Tony, If you have voltage to the board but nothing out of the board, the board is bad, even if it is new. There is no fuse on this unit but you should check the electrical connections to the unit since a poor electrical connection can cause failure to operate even if there are display lights when first powered up.
