The Dishwasher Control Board is an OEM part for Frigidaire dishwashers. It operates as the central "brain" of the dishwasher, controlling functions like cycle selections, wash and rinse levels, heating elements, and input/output sensors.

Causes can be circuitry failures, moisture damage over time, or physical stresses from vibration.

Symptoms of a bad control board include:

  • Cycle failure or inability to start or complete washing
  • Temperature or input/output sensor malfunctions
  • Fault codes appearing or strange appliance behavior
  • Unresponsive buttons or input failures

This OEM Frigidaire part can also be used on Electrolux, Frigidaire, Gibson, Kelvinator, Westinghouse, and Sears/Kenmore.

For Frigidaire Control Board (Part Number: OEM18857982)

Roverturf for Model Number LFBD2409LF3C

The control panel does not work. I have power to the door switch and back to control panel but will not work. I have checked the float switch and it works. I checked the volts to and from the door switch and both are 120. The model number on my control panel is A03091001. But your site states a different model number for the control panel? Even though I have the right dish washer model number entered. Is it the same but just different numbers?

Mike, I would recommend changing out the main control, part number is 5304512731. As long as you are sure you are getting 120 volts to the board, it should light up your control panel.

Lanny for Model Number FDB520RHS0

I have a Frigidaire FDB520RHS0 Dishwasher that is not pumping out the water. I have checked for blockage in the output and input pipes, I checked for continuity for the pump, I looked to see if impellers are ok, I even plugged the pump directly into ac. Everything looks fine and the pump pumped water. So, the only thing I can think of is the control board. Is there a way to check it to make sure it is applying power to the pump? Is there a way to just run it through the pump cycle?

Lanny, if you are sure there is nothing blocking the drain line under the sink, you can check the drain motor by pulling the dishwasher out and checking for 120 volts going into the motor. Normally you can hear it humming, if it hums then you know there is voltage and you have some type of restriction. I would start at the sink drain and work my way back to the drain motor.

Check voltage at the junction box to make sure you are getting 120 volts, if voltage is correct, you would be looking at replacing the main control board.

Robert, No, there is no "separate sensor" for the dry cycle(other than the hi limit/safety thermostat). If there were an issue with the heater circuit, the control panel should display an error code. Then check the water temperature in the tub on the first fill of the cycle " An automatic sensor will check the incoming water temperature and, if it is not hot enough, the cycle will be lengthened for automatic water heating in the main wash and final rinse of all cycles. This happens even when HI-TEMP WASH option has not be selected. When HI-TEMP WASH is selected, an even higher temperature will be reached to handle heavier soil loads." This will also extend the overall run time of the cycle. also check to see what options have been chosen for the cycle selected. If the problem persists, replace the control board.

Robert, There would not be a sensor for this issue but would be more likely a bad main control board that is faulty. The part number for the main control will be 5304517663.

Autumn, The control board is a very good possibility, but there are a few things to check first. Make sure the water in the tub is hot enough (120 dgrs.F.) the dishwasher fills properly (water level should be 1 in. deep in the center of the tub). Remove the lower kickplate and retrieve the tech data sheet attached to the back and conduct the water service test mode. You may want to program the control to the china cycle(shortest wash cycle), deselect any options, and allow the machine to run a cycle( it'll take 90 to 120 minutes) and recheck to see if there are any error codes and the machine shuts down.
