Greg February 05, 2014 for Model Number ffbd2408ns0a My dishwasher will not drain but continues to fill up with water til the water comes out the bottom of the door. The drain pump ohmed out and I checked the drain hose. I also took everything out of the bottom of the dishwasher and found no clogs there. The ball also seemed in place. Could this be a bad electrical control issue?
1 Answer Hello Greg, Since the unit fills on a timed basis, the issue will be in the control board 5304512731, (sticking relay). You should also check the float switch assembly 154773201, since it is the safety that should keep the unit from overfilling. Read More...
Joe November 15, 2013 for Model Number fdb1502rgb0 Hello my Electrolux dishwasher wont light up . all electrical connections are correct and the circuit breaker is not tripped. Is this a control panel issue?
1 Answer Hello Joe. If there is power to the control board and it does not work, you will need to replace the board on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Kevin June 18, 2013 for Model Number Frigidaire dishwasher LFBD2409LB0A When we press start on our dishwasher, nothing happens. It just sits there. The light come on when we select our wash cycle and drying options. When we press start the washing light comes on like it is beginning the wash cycle, yet nothing. It does not fill with water, does not make a noise. I replaced the control thinking surely it was that, but it wasn't. Any ideas?
1 Answer Hello Kevin. Make sure the door switches are good. If so, test for power to the valve. If there is power there, and no water, you will need to order and replace the water valve on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Dave June 13, 2013 for Model Number 587.15262900 The dishwasher fills, and does not enter the wash cycle. It skips to the drain cycle. I had a repair tech here this morning, and he says I need a electronic control. His cost seemed way high, and I would like to replace the board myself. Do these symptoms indicate a bad board?
1 Answer Hello Dave. Yes, that can be caused by a bad board in the unit. These are not hard to replace in the unit. Read More...

J.L. January 04, 2013 for Model Number FDB1502RGC0 After filling with water on any cycle, the main pump never starts. The pump circuit receives 12VAC during fill, 8.9VAC during wash, and 5VAC when the door is opened! Does this indicate a bad control board?
1 Answer Hello J.L., This sounds like the control board 5304512731 has malfunctioned. If unplugging the unit for 10 minutes doesn't reset the board to factory default and correct the units' behavior, the board will require replacement. Be aware that if the polarity of the power supply isn't connected to the unit correctly, it will cause unpredictable issues and cause the electronics to fail. Read More...

Michael December 16, 2012 for Model Number FDB520RHB2A I recently bought a house that had been flipped and has was appears to be a new dishwasher in it. All of the literature was laying inside along with a sample of dish washing detergent. The house was on the market for a good while so the unit may be more than a few months old but nonetheless, seems to be brand new. The main trouble is that it won't dry dishes but it also seems to wash for a excessively long time it seems to me(between an hour and hour and 1/2). I've checked the continuity of the thermostat and the heating element and both seem fine. I've read the vent could be the problem but skeptical. The only other thing I could guess is the control board but with the unit seemingly new, I'm skeptical about that. Thoughts please?
1 Answer Hello Michael. You must use rinse aid for the unit to dry. Also, you need to select the heated dry cycle. The HEAT DRY option in combination with rinse aid will enhance drying performance. The energy required to use the HEAT DRY option costs pennies per cycle. You may choose not to select the HEAT DRY option; however you will have items in your dish load that will not be completely dry at the end of the cycle. You may see water vapor coming from the vent during the drying portion of cycle. The vent is closed during washing to hold moisture and sound inside. The vent opens during the last few minutes of the final rinse and remains open for drying. The drying option may be changed at any time during the cycle and affects only the drying period. Opening the door longer than one minute during the dry cycle cancels the selected dry program. Read More...
