Mario October 15, 2012 for Model Number MD # 15817990 My dishwasher lock light is on and do not turn off by following the instructions ?
1 Answer Hi. If holding the lock button for six to ten seconds doesn't unlock the control, the button must be stuck. You see, the only indicator these units have that tell on a stuck button is that the light corresponding to the stuck button will stay on. In this case, the switch assembly 154852501 will require replacement. Thank You. Read More...
Donnie July 31, 2012 for Model Number FDB1500LFC0 The dishwasher does not complete it's cycle. Example: what I can see is the dishwasher will complete it's wash cycle and while in the rinse cycle at a certain point the hi-temp and heat dry lights will just start blinking and it will not complete the cycle. All the buttons work so I'm assuming that the board may need to be changed. I also checked the latch and it's okay. What do you suggest?
1 Answer Hello Donnie. You need to test the heater and the thermostat on the unit and make sure they reads closed for continuity. If so, you will need to replace the control board in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Garyb April 15, 2012 for Model Number kenmore 587.1525 My dishwasher doesn't complete a cycle. On normal and light wash, it does not drain the rinse water, although it releases soap and washes ok. The "heat dry" and (I think) "sanitize" lights flash, and the unit quits. The problem seems to be intermittent, although it fails about 90% of the time. I had the drain pump replaced, but that didn't help.
1 Answer Hello Gary, I believe the heating element has failed. It could be the thermostat or control but the heating element is a much more common failure. You can test it for continuity to be sure. I can go into a lot more detail with the full model number. Let me know if I can provide you more assistance. Read More...
Joe April 05, 2012 for Model Number FDB1500LFC0 When I press any of the cycle buttons, example "Normal Wash", and then hit the "Start" button, all that happens is that the lights just blink (Normal Wash, heat dry and washing). If I hit the start/cancel button again the lights go out. The lights do not blink all the time, just when I hit the start button. I did not give an accurate description of the problem in my previous question. Do you recommend replacing the control board?
1 Answer Hello Joe. You will still need to check the door latch assembly A00099902 first. If any of the switches are bad, you will need to test and replace the door switch assembly if it is bad. It will cause the unit to operate like you are describing as well. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Joe April 02, 2012 for Model Number FDB1500LFC0 The following lights keep blinking and nothing else happens. Normal Wash Heat dry Start/Cancel Washing What is your recommendation?
1 Answer Hello Joe. The first thing you will want to check is the latch assembly A00099902 and see if it is bad. If it is good, and some of the buttons are not working properly, you will need to replace the switch assembly 154852501. Make sure the membrane does not have any buttons stuck on the switch assembly and is pressing them down. If the problem continues, then the manufacture suggest you replace the control board 5304512731. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
