This electronic control board is the appliance's brain, coordinating timing and power to run each cycle. When it fails, the unit may be unresponsive or behave erratically; replacing it restores reliable operation.

  • Manages cycle timing and sends power to motors, valves, heaters, and other loads
  • Interprets inputs from the user interface and sensors to execute selected settings
  • Common symptoms: dead or unresponsive controls, won't start, or cycles that stop early or fail to advance
  • Intermittent operation, erratic/blinking indicators, or visible burn damage on the board may indicate a failed control
What's included: 1 electronic control board. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power to the appliance before servicing.
  • Use ESD protection; handle the board by its edges.
  • Note/photograph wire locations and transfer connectors one at a time; mount the board securely in the original housing.
  • After reassembly, restore power and run a test cycle or diagnostics per the tech sheet to confirm operation.

For Frigidaire Control Board (Electronic) (Part Number: OEM17004669)

Ken, you may want to inspect the door strike 131763310 to ensure that there is no damage to it and that it is inserting into the lock assembly fully. As the door lock has been replaced, if the strike is operating properly then the issue would be with the main control 137006085 not sending proper voltage to the lock assembly. The washer will not operate unless the lock assembly locks the door and the control senses that it is locked.

Washer didn't drain properly, so I took it apart and checked the hoses. Trap was plugged up so I unclogged the thing (full of bobby pins, coins and hair). Put everything back together, started it up, but it won't fill anymore. The washer will start to fill, then stop intermittently. I run it on the rinse/spin cycle, but it won't start until after a few tries. Even on the rinse/spin cycle, it'll empty the water out, but not all at once, I have to do it multiple times. I referred to the troubleshooting sheet, and it says to replace the board. Before I do this, are there other things I should look at first? All the wiring checks out, except for one in the back that has nothing to plug into (which is weird in my opinion).

Hello Messa. Make sure the wiring is all good on the unit. If so, then it sounds like the board is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit.

Steve, If there is power into the control board but the unit is dead then yes this would need to have a new control board installed into the unit.

Samantha, The E23 error code would be the drain pump relay on the control board failed, wire off the pump or pump defective. With the pump having been replaced this would be a control board issue with the unit and need to replace the control board 137006085.

Carl for Model Number Fafw3801 lw5

I have no visual display on the machine (front load washer) and none of the buttons does anything. I have traced power to the back of the digital control board plug but can't determine if it's the control panel or some other part that has failed such as the door latch assembly. However This part is difficult to diagnose as I cant find any info on the various connectors on this unit. I suspect the plug on the side in line with the latches is the sensor of open and closed. Is there an overload controller that might have locked it up? I have no information as to what occurred just that my wife went to use it and it would not attempt to even light up.

1 Answer

Carl, If you have power supply going to the control board then the issue will be the control board with having no display or operation.

Hello Ryan. If the noise is from the door lock, it may be the harness or the control board. You need to check and make sure the noise is not coming from the water valve on the unit. If so, either the screens are clogged or the valve is bad.

Hello Lindsay, This sounds more like a dead short in the pump circuit. I would unplug the machine and try it again. If it does not shut down until the control times out, (usually 6 minutes), the drain pump is shorted and will need to be replaced. If it still does you should unplug the harness from the control and run the unit again to eliminate it as the shorted component before replacing the control.
