Joe September 19, 2020 for Model Number fgid2477rf1a For a Frigidaire dishwasher fgid2477rf1a what is the difference between parts 587A and 587?
1 Answer Joe, the main control 5304533996 would be board 587 in the diagram while the user control 807022404 is 587A. Read More...
Ken August 01, 2019 for Model Number fafw3801lw5 When you start the washer, it fills for a couple seconds and then stalls and won't do anything. It doesn't throw a code and I noticed the sensing light is not on. If you go to rinse and drain, it drains for a couple seconds and stops. The only sound is a buzz at the door switch so I replaced it but no change. I'm not sure if it's the control board or the motor board? Thanks, Ken
1 Answer Ken, you may want to inspect the door strike 131763310 to ensure that there is no damage to it and that it is inserting into the lock assembly fully. As the door lock has been replaced, if the strike is operating properly then the issue would be with the main control 137006085 not sending proper voltage to the lock assembly. The washer will not operate unless the lock assembly locks the door and the control senses that it is locked. Read More...
Messa September 25, 2017 for Model Number FAFW3001LW1 Washer didn't drain properly, so I took it apart and checked the hoses. Trap was plugged up so I unclogged the thing (full of bobby pins, coins and hair). Put everything back together, started it up, but it won't fill anymore. The washer will start to fill, then stop intermittently. I run it on the rinse/spin cycle, but it won't start until after a few tries. Even on the rinse/spin cycle, it'll empty the water out, but not all at once, I have to do it multiple times. I referred to the troubleshooting sheet, and it says to replace the board. Before I do this, are there other things I should look at first? All the wiring checks out, except for one in the back that has nothing to plug into (which is weird in my opinion).
1 Answer Hello Messa. Make sure the wiring is all good on the unit. If so, then it sounds like the board is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Steve August 19, 2017 for Model Number fafw3801lw5 After a few flickers in our electricity, the washer went dead. Acted like it was unplugged. No lights, or sounds when pushing any of the buttons. I checked the outlet and it is working fine. There is 120 volts where the cord plugs into the control board. I believe the control board needs replaced but wanted a pros opinion. Do you think the control board needs replaced?
1 Answer Steve, If there is power into the control board but the unit is dead then yes this would need to have a new control board installed into the unit. Read More...
Samantha August 07, 2017 for Model Number FAFW3801LW5 When it enters spin cycle, it continues to stay on spinning until it's turned off and you start to smell burning rubber. The drum is actually emptied of water and we replaced the pump about 6 months ago, and this has been happening since the purchase of the washer. Noted that code E23 is produced. I'm assuming this is the control board. Would that be correct?
1 Answer Samantha, The E23 error code would be the drain pump relay on the control board failed, wire off the pump or pump defective. With the pump having been replaced this would be a control board issue with the unit and need to replace the control board 137006085. Read More...
Tim October 04, 2016 for Model Number FAFW3801LW5 I am looking at a control board for a Frigidaire washer. It shows a " Control board printed CI " and just a "control board". What is the difference??
1 Answer Tim, If you are needing the main control board for your unit then it would be part number 137006085. If you are looking for the speed control board then it would be 5304504863. Read More...
Carl November 21, 2015 for Model Number Fafw3801 lw5 I have no visual display on the machine (front load washer) and none of the buttons does anything. I have traced power to the back of the digital control board plug but can't determine if it's the control panel or some other part that has failed such as the door latch assembly. However This part is difficult to diagnose as I cant find any info on the various connectors on this unit. I suspect the plug on the side in line with the latches is the sensor of open and closed. Is there an overload controller that might have locked it up? I have no information as to what occurred just that my wife went to use it and it would not attempt to even light up.
1 Answer Carl, If you have power supply going to the control board then the issue will be the control board with having no display or operation. Read More...
Ryan August 06, 2015 for Model Number FAFW3801LW4 Recently, my washing machine started making a buzzing sound when the door was closed and the cycle was initiated. The door would not lock and the cycle never started, so I replaced the male part on the door and the door lock assembly on the washing machine. Now, the door locks and the cycle starts, but the buzzing sound still persists as if it's still trying to lock itself. Does this sound like an issue where I need to replace my control board?
1 Answer Hello Ryan. If the noise is from the door lock, it may be the harness or the control board. You need to check and make sure the noise is not coming from the water valve on the unit. If so, either the screens are clogged or the valve is bad. Read More...
Lindsay October 19, 2014 for Model Number FAFW3001LW1 Unit powers off when pump should activate. Control panel?
1 Answer Hello Lindsay, This sounds more like a dead short in the pump circuit. I would unplug the machine and try it again. If it does not shut down until the control times out, (usually 6 minutes), the drain pump is shorted and will need to be replaced. If it still does you should unplug the harness from the control and run the unit again to eliminate it as the shorted component before replacing the control. Read More...
