Grace, Yes, along with the oven control board you would want to get the overlay as the old overlay 316220805 will not stick properly to the new control board.

Mac for Model Number FEFL77ABE

The power completely went out on my stove while using the oven. This has been a recurrent issue over the past 3-4 years. In the past, I have been able to reset the oven and return power to the unit by turning one of the stovetop element knobs. There has been no consistency to when this occurs. It will go months without doing this. This time when I turn the knob it makes a buzzing sound, power returns, and then the power to the entire unit goes back out when I turn the knob back off. I assume it is the control unit but want to be sure before buying the part. The display is not flashing any code. Only the time (12:00). I have unplugged the unit for 10 minutes. Any other thoughts before I buy the EOC?

Hello Mac, You may want to check to make sure that you do not have a wire that is shorting to ground. Normally when a control unit goes out you would not be able to turn a knob to get to work. Check you L1 circuit as it feeds the control unit and make sure that there are no broken or loose wires. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Hello Sarah. If the new unit caused a surge on that circuit, it could have damaged the board. You will need to order and replace the control board in the unit.
