F1 still kept flashing and beeping. had to shut breaker off. what could the problem be? can it be fixed or now I am worried about overheating and blowing up. do I need to buy a new stove?
1 Answer Hello Marcia. Based on the code you provided, you need to replace the ERC 316207527 and the overlay 316220804. Read More...
Dan January 29, 2014 for Model Number GLEF378AQE Hello, The stove doesn't work on our stove. I'm thinking we need to replace the Oven Control Board, would that be the correct assumption? The stove top works perfectly, just the oven doesn't work at all. Also, is there any other parts we need in addition to the Oven Control Board? Thank you!
1 Answer Hello Dan. If there is power to the control board and none out, you will need to replace the board on the unit. You will need to replace the overlay 316220804 with the control board 316207527. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Sheri September 14, 2013 for Model Number GLEFS76ASB While baking, I kept burning my cupcakes...oven seemed to go haywire. Heating element wouldn't turn off and then F1 kept coming up on the screen. Tried unplugging range, F1 error kept returning. I'm guessing I need an EOC. Plan on replacing myself with help from this site (Girl Power!), but am curious if there could be anything else wrong and/or will I need anything other than the actual EOC itself?
1 Answer Hello Sheri. Test and make sure the oven sensor is good. Should read 1100 ohms at room temp and 1650 ohms at 350°. If so, replace the ERC on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Tim September 04, 2013 I have a single wall oven with a code f1 model #Jtp1og53bg electric oven. Can you give me information on how to fix it?
1 Answer Hello Tim. F1 This code usually means that there is a problem with the keypanel. You will need to replace the key panel on the unit. Read More...
Grace May 17, 2013 for Model Number glef 378 aba My oven will not turn off and I think I need the "oven control board". Is there another part that is required - like the "overlay" ?
1 Answer Grace, Yes, along with the oven control board you would want to get the overlay as the old overlay 316220805 will not stick properly to the new control board. Read More...
Dale May 15, 2013 for Model Number GLEF378AQE My bake element will not shut off. I think I need a new oven control board but I can't say for sure. Is there a way to test to see if that is the problem? I have a multimeter. I measured resistance from both the bake and broil terminals to ground (with power off) and they both indicate infinite resistance.
1 Answer Dale, With the oven bake element staying on you will need to replace the control board as the bake relay is stuck closed. Read More...
Mitch May 10, 2013 for Model Number FEFL77ASG power outage digital display will not work, it was fine before power outage, tried the breaker off 10 min still won't work, stove top does work.
1 Answer Mitch, You will want to test the control board to make sure that you are getting 120 vac from L1 to neutral. If there is 120 vac then your control board 316207527 is faulty and would need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Mac February 23, 2013 for Model Number FEFL77ABE The power completely went out on my stove while using the oven. This has been a recurrent issue over the past 3-4 years. In the past, I have been able to reset the oven and return power to the unit by turning one of the stovetop element knobs. There has been no consistency to when this occurs. It will go months without doing this. This time when I turn the knob it makes a buzzing sound, power returns, and then the power to the entire unit goes back out when I turn the knob back off. I assume it is the control unit but want to be sure before buying the part. The display is not flashing any code. Only the time (12:00). I have unplugged the unit for 10 minutes. Any other thoughts before I buy the EOC?
1 Answer Hello Mac, You may want to check to make sure that you do not have a wire that is shorting to ground. Normally when a control unit goes out you would not be able to turn a knob to get to work. Check you L1 circuit as it feeds the control unit and make sure that there are no broken or loose wires. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Sarah V December 12, 2012 for Model Number ES300 Our gas burners and oven light work, however the display for the clock and oven controls will not display and we can not turn the oven on. We had a new household item added in the house that was tied into the same circuit breaker as the oven. Could this have caused the control panel to go out? Did it get fried?
1 Answer Hello Sarah. If the new unit caused a surge on that circuit, it could have damaged the board. You will need to order and replace the control board in the unit. Read More...
