Ahdy, if the temperature up key is pressed three times, it should exit the cooling off mode. If it does not, the main control 297235200 has failed.

Sherri, With the unit not getting cold, check to see if the compressor is running. If not then try to unplug the unit for a couple of minutes and then plug it back up. If the unit goes back to working then the issue will be the control on the door. If it does not then look for a faulty start device on the side of the compressor.

Matt for Model Number LFFH17F7HWH

Currently I have model LFFH17F7HWH. The door ajar alarm keeps going off. When I hit reset it's fine for a few then beeps again. Meanwhile the door ajar light stays on. There is nothing inside freezer of any obstruction. I took the wires off the door switch and hard word them together to buy pass the switch but still the same thing. One last thing we did was apply Vaseline all over the entire door seal. This made the door seal fit a little tighter but still getting the beeping.

Hello Matt, check the wire harness from the freezer door to the cabinet for any problems, if ok the control board may be failing.

If the wires are good, then the main control would be the most likely cause based on the information provided.

Harry, Not sure what parts were replaced but basically the control reads the thermistor resistance and decides if it needs to cool or not. The control then sends voltage to the compressor and fans. If the compressor is running and fans are running then either there is a defrost issue or a sealed system problem. We would need a picture of the coils if compressor is running and not cooling. The manufacturer does not give a resistence for the thermistor but it should read very high at 0 degrees like 60 to 80k ohms. Thermistor is located the the evaporator coils behind the rear panel.

Mike, Check to make sure that the fan is running. If it is then check to see if the compressor is running. If neither of them is running then this will be an issue with the control board 297235200.

Ken, the locking tabs that hold the control to the interface should be able to be pushed outward away from the control to be able to remove it and reuse the housing. This can be done by using the relay in the upper corner of the control to push the control towards the bottom of the interface. With the control as far towards the bottom as possible, the tabs at the top can be gently pulled away and the control lifted up at the top. This will allow the tilted control to be maneuvered so that it can clear the bottom tabs.
