Gladys S. September 22, 2011 for Model Number 587.16162400 I just bought this part from you, can you tell me how to install the part properly?
1 Answer Hello Gladys. Removing the drain pump assembly: 1. Disconnect the washer from the electrical supply and remove the front panel. Note: Some water will be left in the hoses and pump. 2. Disconnect the inlet sump from the pump assembly. 3. Disconnect the outlet hose from the pump assembly. 4. Remove the (2) screws, one on each side, holding the pump housing to the washer base. 4. Unplug the wires from the pump motor A00126501 and lift the pump assembly out. Hope this helps. Read More...
Mike August 08, 2011 for Model Number gld2155rdc My frigidaire dishwasher is not draining. I checked all lines in and out, it is free and clear and clean. How do I check the pump itself?
1 Answer Hello Mike. You can test and see if there is power coming to the pump assembly. If so, and the pump does not run, you will need to replace the drain pump assembly A00126501. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Ron P. July 18, 2011 for Model Number FDB1050REQ2 Hi, the outlet on the drain where the ridges are have an outside diameter of 1 1/8", however the hose this site recommends has only 1" inside diameter. Do you have a different drain hose for this? It's pain on this model because there's only 1 1/2 - 2" of play room between the drain outlet and the bottom of the unit. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Ron. Based on the model number you provided, 807117001 is the correct drain hose. Hope this helps. Read More...
Wendy R. May 23, 2011 for Model Number FDB13ORDS3 Hi, My dishwasher wouldn't drain, so I pulled it out and saw that underneath, on the right hand, a yellow wire had been chewed completely through. Is the chewed wire the problem, and if so, can I get it fixed or do I have to buy an entirely new machine? Thanks, Wendy
1 Answer Hello Wendy! It is very possible that the chewed wire provides power to the drain pump, or to a component that triggers the drain cycle. You may want to repair or replace that wire and see if that fixes the issue. If you fix that wire, and the unit still does not drain, you can visit the repair forum to get some help diagnosing the issue. I will include the link in this message. I hope this helps! Jack March 24, 2011 My dishwasher won't drain. The drain pump is making noise like it may be trying to drain, but I'm not sure. Do you think the drain pump could be faulty? I noticed there is a "check ball" replacement on your parts page. Could this be jammed and causing the problem? Look forward to your advice. Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Jack. Disassemble the dishwasher and see if any debris is clogging the pump or the drain hose. If all is clear, you will need to change the pump. Hope this helps. Read More...
