Brad January 10, 2014 for Model Number FDE336RES1 The Teflon spacers around my drum have gone bad (worn thin) and dryer is making terrible noises. I do not see them listed in the diagram. Are they called "vanes"? Do I have to replace the whole drum because these little spacers have gone bad?
Alan October 16, 2013 for Model Number Frigidaire GLET1031CS0 Hello - Dryer is squealing so bearings or guides or assembly-shaft needs replacing from what I read... Is there a maintenance kit that contains all the right bits and pieces for a DIY repair job? Thanks!
Anng July 31, 2013 for Model Number kenmore dryer 417.88042700 Kenmore dryer will not heat, will run but makes a scrubbing noise when the drum is turned. it was working great until my daughter dried a pair of tennis shoes. any help is welcome
1 Answer Ann, For the issue of the scrubbing noise you will want to check the glide and rear bearing for damage. For the issue of the unit not heating you will want to check the hi limit thermostat, heater and thermal fuse for continuity. If any of the parts do not have continuity then you will need to replace that part. Read More...
Bernie April 08, 2013 for Model Number Frigidaire FEQ1442ES0 The coil on my heating element assembly is broken and needs to be replaced. While I have the dryer apart, do you think I should also replace the thermostat? I dont want a faulty thermostat destroying my new heating element.
1 Answer Hello Bernie. If the thermostat is bad or you suspect it is bad, then this would be the time to replace the thermostat in the unit. Read More...
Nancy March 17, 2013 for Model Number LEQ332DS0 I am replacing the heater in my dryer and would like to do some PM as well. I thought I saw a kit that contained the belt, rear bearing kit and felts but I have not been able to locate. Also, does this dryer have the glides?
1 Answer Nancy, the dryer maintenance kit used on your model LEQ332DS0 is part number 5304457724. The kit includes the rear bearing, front felt seals, belt, and idler pulley. Your unit uses the drum glide 137513300, however, it is is not included the the maintenance kit. Thanks! Read More...

Rachel S November 23, 2012 for Model Number CRER5700AS1 Our dryer is leaving brown marks on our clothing. I know we need to replace the drum glide. Do I need to order one or two? Also, our clothes are getting snagged around the inside of the opening. Do I need to also order the seal? I want to be sure I order everything needed at same time.
1 Answer Hello Rachel, You would need to order 2 glides. If the clothes are snagging around the inside opening then you would also want to replace the front seal. Read More...
James July 03, 2012 for Model Number Kenmore 417.83052201 I am trying to replace the dryer drum glides, and it appears that some of the clips on the back of the glides "lock-in' nicely to the drum, however the ones at the beginning and end of the glides, seem to fit very loosely in the holes. Is it supposed to be this way? I am concerned that the loose fit will allow the leading edge of the glide to snag the felt joints. Should all of the clips on the back of the glides "click" into place, or are some of the holes a in the drum slightly larger than the others? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello James, This sounds like the glides may be malformed. I've never had this particular issue, but I would re-order the glides to make sure I was starting with good parts. If they do the same, as long as they have pressure against the inner rim of the drum, I would install them and run the dryer. If they are not "raised" from the drums' inner edge, there should be no problem. Read More...
James June 22, 2012 for Model Number Kenmore 417.83052201 I bought a used dryer and one of the dryer drum glides is missing, and the other one has lost some clips and is catching the felt and clothes when it spins. Obviously I need to replace the glides, but is there something else I should check for, to find out why the glides were missing/damaged? The dryer seems to spin fine, without any noise, when the one remaining guide is in place and not catching on anything. Thanks!
1 Answer Hello James! The glides wear out overtime due to usage. The dryer drum glide is part number 137513300. Also check the felts on the unit. The upper felt is part number 5303937182 and the lower felt is part number 5303937183. Thanks! Read More...
