Tim August 20, 2014 I bought a lid lock switch for my washer but it did'nt help. What could stop my pump from working and the rinse and spin cycle from functioning?
1 Answer Hello Tim. Test for power coming to the pump assembly. If there is power there, and it does not drain, you will need to replace the pump in the unit. Read More...
Tim C August 19, 2014 Will the lid lock switch also affect the rinse cycle? My frigidaire 8 cycle flex care won't work on spin cycle or rinse cycle.
Patricia S. July 12, 2014 for Model Number 134101800 Will a lock switch made by GE fit a frigidaire washing machine?
1 Answer Hello Patricia! We can not recommend that a GE fit a Frigidaire and vice versa. You can always try the part and return it within 365 days if it does not fit your unit. Fred January 03, 2014 for Model Number flse72gcsa How do you lift up the top to release it to replace lid latch?
1 Answer Hello Fred, Remove the two screws in the bottom of the front panel and let the panel slide down toward the floor and it will pull off. This will allow access to the screws that retain the main top, one on each side of the unit. Read More...
Angela November 10, 2013 for Model Number FWX833AS2 My Frigidaire washer (model#FWX833AS2) will not drain or spin on any cycle. There is no hum from the motor at this point, only a few clicks from the timer, then nothing. The lid lock disengages. I have checked for blockage in the drain hose and the pump. I emptied the water from the tub, and still could not get the machine to spin. I've done a visual check of the transmission parts and they seem OK. What could this be?
Wichie October 25, 2013 for Model Number Sears laundry center (washer/dryer) I replaced the lid lock/switch but lid lock engages OK but does not disengages at the end of the cycle. I used the part 134101800.
1 Answer Hello Wichie. If there is power going to it and keeping it locked, you will need to replace the timer in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
2 Answers Hello John, You need to first check the lid switch. If it checks out ok, there are multiple things to check depending on whether you hear a hum or click or no sound at all. If you could please re-post with further symptoms, we can give a more detailed diagnosis. GLWS1339ES1 Read More...
