Russell J. March 25, 2013 for Model Number FLGB8200DS1 Water level is not high enough. Can it be adjusted or is there a switch that needs to be replaced? Control switch is set to the Large Load size but still not enough water enters to fill to the proper levels.
1 Answer Hello Russell, There is no adjustment that can be made. All you can do is replace the water level switch 134422700. You can also blow through the hose that attaches to the water level switch. You should be able to blow through it and hear the air escaping in the units' tub. Read More...
Ellie November 29, 2012 for Model Number fafw3577kwo My Frigidaire washing machine stops mid cycle with a display pause. What can I do to fix it? Thank you!
1 Answer Hello Ellie, The door lock assembly 131763256 is normally responsible for this failure. Check all electrical connections by removing the electrical connectors one at a time and re-connecting. Do this one at a time so no connections get crossed. If this doesn't correct the issue, replace the door lock assembly. Read More...
Don June 06, 2012 for Model Number LC-248J Item Number: AP2108159 to replace old Lid switch AP2585864 (Frigidaire)LC-248J All i want to know is will this item number AP2108159 (Lid switch) work. Are the voltage connection the same? I don't care if it fits. I plan on bypassing the lid switch by taping the switch in the on position. I will secure it to the inside of my stackable washer.
1 Answer Hello Don. We have no way of knowing if this switch will work as a bypass for the other switch. The manufacture does not offer that information. Read More...
Don June 05, 2012 for Model Number Frigidaire LC-248J This is a 20-25 year old Frigidaire stackable washer/dryer. I was told by an appliance repair technician that the Lid/switch was bad. He said they didn't make them anymore. The Lid Lock switch looks like the same as the one I have. I would assume that the voltage spec would be the same? I assume the switch is similar to a SPST Switch? The serial number on my washer is unreadable.
1 Answer Hello Don. According to the manufacture, the lid switch 5308004085 has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and we don't know of any source or replacement for the part. There is no cross reference for the part. Read More...

Curt April 05, 2012 for Model Number FEX831FS2 Have changed timer, lid switch, pressure switch and now motor. washer will still not agitate after it fills with water it will not even click or try to start and will only come on in spin just like it did with the old parts is there anything else that can be changed that could be causing this problem. Thank You for your help
1 Answer Curt, The next thing to check is the wiring harness. it's most likely a loose connection or broken wire at the water level switch or lid switch back to the terminal block. The contacts in the water level switch and the lid switch have to close, in order to complete the circuit, so the motor can run in the agitate direction. The information we're sending you may be a lot more helpful. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
Curt March 31, 2012 for Model Number FEX831FS2 Originally I sent. My washer will not not agitate after it fills with water. Water will drain out and spin in spin cycle. I have changed timer, lid switch and pressure switch. Do you have any other suggestions? Thank You
1 Answer Hi Curt. Un hook the belt and see if the motor will run in one direction in the agitation mode. Then watch it as you select spin. It should spin in the other direction. This will tell you if the motor part # 134156400 and the timer part # 131758600 is working. Then remove the washer top/lid assy. Then remove the agitator. Remove the agitator. Look under it and see if the flat 1'x3' steel bar part # 137107000 is no longer mounted to the trunnion plate part # 137107000. One screw part # 137539500 will always break and then it can not support the agitation cycle. Then trunnion is part # 131545101. Let me know if we can assist. further. Thank You. Read More...
