This washer switch is both the lid lock and lid switch. New mounting bracket replaces older design. Which means in some applications you may need to drill off old design mounting bracket prior to mounting the new lock. If your replacing the 4 wire switch you will need to tape off light switch leads. The light will no longer be used. Instructions included.

Hi Toni. Where is the humming sound coming from ? Listen to see if it the control panel at the timer area ? If so, remove the control back cover to see if you verify the timer part # 131436800. If you do not hear it clicking on then you may not be sending voltage from the timer to the motor. Remove the front panel by removing the 2- screws from below the front panel and sliding the panel down and off. Now see if you hear it from the motor part # 134159500. The motor will normally be warm to touch , but not burning hot. Test for 120 vac at he motor on the red and the white wire when starting. If you do not get the power, replace the timer. If you get the power and the motor will not start, then replace the motor. Thank You.

Hello Lou. Remove the agitator and see if the hub 134418700 is stripped out on the top of the transmission. If the hub is good, then the transmission 134736400 has bad gears and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps.

Hi ETC. Is this machine a front loader? You can remove the lower front kick panel and reach inside the front. At the bottom of the switch is a dime size tab that is for you to pull and open the door as a 1-time effort. You will need to send us the exact model # to get you the correct part #. Thank You.

Hello Lynne. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the lid lock 134101800 is bad and will need to be replaced. You will need to remove the old lid switch to see if yours is 3 or 4 wires. Hope this helps.

Hello Tracie. Check and make sure the belt 134511600 is not bad on the unit. If it is burnt, you will need to check and see if the bearing in the tub is locked up. If so, you will need to replace the tub bearing 3204405, and the trunnion 131545101. Hope this helps.

Hello Jose! You will want to make sure that there isn't anything restricting the drain pump and drain hoses, like a sock, etc. If the hose and drain pump is clear from any obstructions, you may have a bad drain pump. We will need your model number please.
