Toni A. January 30, 2012 for Model Number FWS445RFS2 The washer fills and agitates and runs through the cycle until it gets to cool down. It will not then drain, final rinse or final spin. I replaced the lid swith and drain pump. I hear a humming noise but it does not click on. What could this problem be?
1 Answer Hi Toni. Where is the humming sound coming from ? Listen to see if it the control panel at the timer area ? If so, remove the control back cover to see if you verify the timer part # 131436800. If you do not hear it clicking on then you may not be sending voltage from the timer to the motor. Remove the front panel by removing the 2- screws from below the front panel and sliding the panel down and off. Now see if you hear it from the motor part # 134159500. The motor will normally be warm to touch , but not burning hot. Test for 120 vac at he motor on the red and the white wire when starting. If you do not get the power, replace the timer. If you get the power and the motor will not start, then replace the motor. Thank You. Read More...
Toni A. January 25, 2012 for Model Number FWS445RFS2 My washer will fill and agitate but will not drain, rinse or do final spin. I have checked the hoses and replaced the pump but still have the same problem. Could it be the latch switch?
1 Answer Hello Toni. Yes, if the lid lock assembly 134101800 is bad, it will cause the problems you are having with the washer. You will need to check and see if the lock assembly is bad on the washer. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Lou January 04, 2012 for Model Number FLEB8200FS0 Washer fills, spins and drains but won't agitate. When viewed with the lid open and the lid switch held down, it looks like there is a slight jerk when it tries to agitate but there is no further movement. There is a buzzing sound from the motor. Any ideas?
1 Answer Hello Lou. Remove the agitator and see if the hub 134418700 is stripped out on the top of the transmission. If the hub is good, then the transmission 134736400 has bad gears and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...
Etc November 04, 2011 for Model Number FRIGIDAIRE Washer The lid on my washer will not open the whole wash and rinse cycle is complete it seems like the lid lock is stuck. Any suggestions on how to open it?
1 Answer Hi ETC. Is this machine a front loader? You can remove the lower front kick panel and reach inside the front. At the bottom of the switch is a dime size tab that is for you to pull and open the door as a 1-time effort. You will need to send us the exact model # to get you the correct part #. Thank You.
