Gina October 08, 2016 for Model Number FGHS2631PF4A The water/ice dispenser shorted out, I believe...it was hit by my son with an electric flyswatter, now the light stays on, and the water filter light stays on...when you switch to water, it just comes out, and you have to switch back to ice to stop the water. Ice dispenser part doesn't work at all. What part do I need for my Fridgidaire Gallery FGHS2631PF4A? And can we DIY? My hubby is pretty handy! :)
1 Answer Gina, You would need to get the user interface which is part number 5304527931 to correct this issue and is a part that you could replace. Underneath the display there is a piece of trim that has 2 screws on the bottom side of it. Remove teh trim piece and then there will be 2 screws behind it to remove to take out the user interface. 1 Answer Ed, Remove the drip tray from the dispenser. Once removed you will need to take out the one screw at the front under the tray. Then you gently pull out on the bottom and all the way around to pop the front panel off. Once off you will then remove 2 screws at the top of the control panel.
