The Circulation Motor is an original and genuine OEM replacement part for Frigidaire dishwashers. It circulates water throughout the wash and rinse cycles to clean all dishes.

Causes of a bad circulation motor include normal wear and tear over time, the mineral buildup that causes mechanical issues, or damage from overfilling the dishwasher with an unbalanced load.

Symptoms of a bad circulation motor are:

  • Dishes only partially cleaned with dirt and food soils still stuck on
  • Incomplete water coverage inside the dishwasher tub
  • Puddles of standing water after a cycle
  • Abnormally long cycle times

This genuine Frigidaire OEM replacement part is also compatible with Electrolux, Westinghouse, and some Kenmore dishwasher models.

Karin, Your dishwasher has two(2) motors, the 154853801 Wash Motor and the A00126401 Drain Pump Assembly. If the dishwasher fills but doesn't wash, suspect the wash motor. if the dishwasher fills and washes, but doesn't drain suspect the drain pump assembly or clogged drain line. If neither motor runs, then suspect a faulty 5304514670 control board or damaged wiring. The likelihood of both motors being at fault, is rather rare.

Connie, It would be recommended to check the pump assembly to see if there is something caught down inside of it. If there is nothing clogged in the pump then the motor would need to be replaced.

Connie, check the water level in the bottom of the tub. Low water level will make the pump sound noisier than normal and the dishes won't look or seem clean. Start the dishwasher on a regular cycle, let it fill and wash for a few minute (5 or 10 minutes), unlatch the door, remove the lower dish rack, the water level should be approximately 1 inch deep in the center area near the lower spray arm assembly. If it too low, replace the fill valve 154637401 .
