For Frigidaire Electronic Pc Board (Part Number: OEM13676052)

John, You would want to check to see if the control board is sending power to the compressor. If it is but the compressor will not start then this is a compressor issue. If there is no power coming off the control board to the compressor then the control board would be the issue and is part number 5304496252. If there is power coming from the control board you would also want to check the capacitor for being good.

Rodney for Model Number FRA105CT13

I am a 7 year owner of this Frigidaire FRA105CT13 10,000 btu room window a/c unit, bought new. I have had a problem (increasingly over the past year) with the a/c unit compressor not running consistently, after setting the temperature for COOLING. As a result the unit never reaches the set cooling temp., Just compressor cycles of various duration over and over, until COOLING setting is turned off (with fan running) , or unit is shut down. EXAMPLE: After a period of being turned off, or running just the fan, when set to COOLING ranges, the unit will run normally (with compressor running) for 15-30 min., and then the compressor will shut of and begin to short cycle arbitrarily, It will do this, at irregular intervals. Seemingly, my symptoms I.D. for this problem, after a L_O_N_G time of research, ownership, and experience with window a/c units are these (with history/backstory) are these: unit has had the evap coil defrost thermistor probe replaced new; unit has had pc control board replaced new.The only other culprits I can diagnose are the ambient indoor temp thermistor/sensor, and/or the compressor start/run capacitor. At certain times, the compressor will run for extended times as normal. This 'normal running' is only at arbitrary times, and usually at higher outdoor temperatures approx. above 70-75 degrees, and thus indoor temps of 75-80 degrees, or more. QUESTION: would either of the above mentioned parts cause this behavior, and would installing them correct this puzzling situation. ALSO OF NOTE: there is a small to moderate amount of frost or ice which develops on the evaporator indoor coils and/or fins, but not regularly, and very arbitrarily. Frigidaire/Electrolux lists, and identifies the evap coil thermistor/sensor probe as a DEFROST thermistor, so I am assuming that SOME frosting may be normal under certain 'intermediate' ambient temp and humidity conditions. Otherwise the unit may have a sealed system/freon refrigerant oil issue. As the original owner, I doubt this, because when running normally, even after this annoying, and potentially energy and hardware- costly problem, there are times when the unit produces freezing cold air, pleasurable air, but it doesn't last. Your expert help is needed please!. Thanks In Advance.

Rodney, The most likely cause for this issue will be the sensor on the evaporator but you will also want to make sure that the evaporator coils and the filter are clean which could also cause this.

Hello Jeremy. You can test for power to the user interface. If there is power there, and the unit does not turn on, you will need to replace the interface board.

AC turns on fine when I start it up first thing in the afternoon (with remote or control panel buttons) but after 10-15 minutes it will beep and go to sleep mode and then beep and go back to normal and do this a couple of times before it finally stops beeping. The only problem is once it does this, normally the remote/control panel buttons don't work. The unit has to be unplugged or AC plug tripped. The compressor still kicks on and off and sometimes when it kicks on I can use the remote/control panel button but not all the time. The circuit board was replaced under warranty back in 7/2014 but wondering if it went bad again? Thanks

Hello Glen, I would recommend to remove the batteries from the remote 5304476866 first to eliminate the possibility of a button on it being stuck. If this does not correct the issue, the display/input board 5304477181 and/or the main pc board 5304492070 would require replacement.

Karon, If the fan will not shut off on the unit then this issue would be caused by a relay on the main control board that is stuck. You would want to replace part number 5304492070.

My air conditioner will not power off. After reading through some of the other questions, I thought the problem was the PC Board. I ordered one and replaced the one in the air conditioner, but there is no difference. As soon as it is plugged in the air conditioner runs continuously. Even after it is tuned off on the control panel, it continues to run. The only way to turn it off is to unplug it. The air conditioner seems to function fine in every other way. I can adjust the temperature and it will cool, but once it reached the desired temperature it continues to run instead of stopping blowing air as it should. Any suggestions would be appreciated. It is a fairly new air conditioner and I would like to avoid buying a new one if I can.

Mario, If the compressor is never shutting down then the issue may be that either the thermistor is faulty or the relay for the compressor is sticking closed which would require a control board.

Byron for Model Number LRA257ST2

The other night I noticed my LRA257ST2 beeped and stopped running, and I got up to see what the deal was. It was on "econ", and I always run it on "cool". I pressed the button to switch it from econ to cool and it did nothing and made no beeps. A little while later it beeped again as if it reset on it's own, and I noticed the temp display was all black, not displaying anything in that square but the A/C was still running in econ mode (no idea what temp). The temp display has since come back but is nowhere near accurate..showing 71F and I've never had it below 76F.

Byron, The most likely cause for this issue would be that the main control board is faulty and would need to be replaced. The part number is 5304492070
