For Frigidaire Electronic Pc Board (Part Number: OEM13676052)

Mattp for Model Number FAS255P2A1

Unit cools, but only when set at 71 or cooler. Then will not cycle off until you turn up to 75 or higher. Then will not cool back down. I replaced the thermistor/thermostat, but it has made no difference. I was told to replace the pc board, but there are 2 listed and no description of which would help. Do you know if board #5304447801 or #5304480623 would be the right one for the issue I'm having. The unit cools nicely, but I really need the temps to adjust and work right without all of the manual labor involved. Thanks

Harold, The issue would most likely not be with the control board of the unit but more likely with the capacitor or a restriction in the sealed system of the unit. If the unit was working fine before cleaning it I would check for loose or broken wires and check the compressor run capacitor to make sure that it is good.

Doug Poskey for Model Number LRA157MT1

This A/C has been used for about 1 month last year in August by a renter. It was returned to me and I recently took it out of the box to turn it on. It does not work at all when it is plugged in and only makes a "beep". I was told that the PC part #'s were AP4558681 and the main one is AP4513628. My phone conversation led us to our opinion that the problem was probably the ...681 because nothing works. I would like your opinion because I would like to get the part if you are quite certain (not totally) what the problem is. Also, I do not have a manual and need to know how to change PC board. Thanks.

Doug, The display PCB does sound like it could be the issue. To replace the pcb you will need to remove the front cover. There are 3 or 4 screws that hold the assembly on behind the air filter. Once removed you will pull the unit out of the casing and remove the screw holding the pcb in place. You will also need to remove the cover on the control area where the main control would be. Disconnect the wire harness between the 2 and install the new display pcb.

Hello Donni. It sounds like the control panel is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit.

Carlos, Yes, the control board 5304477181 does supply power to the compressor, and you may have a stuck relay. But you also have two thermistors 5304512375 and 5304471276 that communicate with the control and turns the compressor on or off. you need to check these as well. If the compressor won't shut off, it could be that the thermistors are not reading the correct resistance and the compressor is trying to cool, even though it has reached the temperature selected.
