Mr Twister June 21, 2020 for Model Number Frigidaire FFEH3054US My oven temp is runaway. Set to 350, it heats to 430, then starts to slowly drop. I opened the door for a few moments, closed it, and the temp was 342. It climbed to 370, then slowly dropped to 351, then heated back to 390, and I shut it off. I asked the question here earlier, and tested the temperature probe resistance based on the input. It was dead on 1080 ohms. Based on that, I purchased a control panel, and still have the same problem. The wiring diagram only shows the probe and the control panel. What else can be going on? Thank you for your help.
1 Answer Mr. Twister, the temperature probe may need to be tested when it is heated up. Using a heat gun or hair dryer to heat it up to 250°F, the resistance should measure 1453O, and at 350°F it should measure 1654O (temperatures verified with a thermometer). Based on the information provided, it sounds like the temperature probe is not registering the proper resistance at higher temperatures. However, a range will increase and decrease in temperatures to some degree as it levels out the average temperature to match the temperature selected. Read More...
Ruth April 03, 2018 for Model Number FEF366ESN My Frigidaire electric range had a F10 error code, so I replaced the "RTD Sensor probe," which I read about on your site. Unfortunately, the oven continues to overheat and give me the F10 error code after I replaced it. Do you have any idea what I can do now? Is there something I missed? Thanks so much for help! Ruth
1 Answer Ruth, With the oven still overheating then this would be a issue with the control board of the unit. The part number needed would be 5304509493. Read More...
Ruth March 22, 2018 for Model Number FEF366ESN My Frigidaire electric range isn't working. It showed F10 error code and says I need a "RTD Sensor probe." I found the item in your store and watched the repair video. (And you made it look easy!) But the video is for a GAS range (though the video was displayed on the page for the part I needed for the electric range.) Do you have another video to demonstrate the repair for an ELECTRIC range? Thanks a bunch!
1 Answer Ruth, The video would be similar to a electric range and would simply need to pull the range out and would need to remove the back panel to get to the sensor to remove it. Read More...
Mike F. March 19, 2018 for Model Number FEFLMC55GCA I have an electric Frigidaire range model FEFLMC55GCA that when I try to turn oven on it shows F 31 and beeps. Is the RTD sensor probe the same as oven temp probe? part # 316490000?
Lanny S December 03, 2017 for Model Number FFGF3053LSJ The oven works fine but when you turn on the broiler, the igniter glows and the gas ignites in the broiler tube but then shuts off after a few seconds. What can cause this?
1 Answer Lanny, This issue would be caused by a faulty oven safety valve in which the solenoids inside the valve are weak and not keeping the valve open. Read More...
Ross January 11, 2017 for Model Number FGFLZ87GCG Frigidaire Hello, The gas oven heats up to 288°F and sticks there every time. This has repeated several times. Is the temperature probe faulting out? Thanks
1 Answer Ross, You will want to check the oven sensor for 1090 ohms at room temp of 77 degrees and for every 1 degree increase add 2 ohms. If this checks ok then the control board will be faulty but if it checks bad replace the sensor. Read More...
Cindy September 01, 2016 for Model Number FGEF3032MBB I bought this Frigidaire smooth top range used a year ago. It has worked fine until today. I turned on the oven and although it takes some time to heat up, it never came to temperature. It gets to about 150* by my oven thermometer. I had it meet for 375*. What can the issue be? I cannot afford another range right now. Thank you for your help!
1 Answer Hello Cindy. You will need to check for a bad bake element in the unit. If it is good, you will need to replace the control board. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Robert May 15, 2016 for Model Number Frigidaire cook range I have a gas Frigidaire range that when I try to turn oven on it shows F 31 and beeps.
1 Answer Hello Robert. We will need your model number to help you with this. Please call 1-877-477-7278 or post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx Read More...
Karen August 02, 2015 for Model Number FEF368GCE I have problems with oven heating up and never cooling down it just over heats and burns food up cause it cooks food to fast.
1 Answer Karen, You're pretty close on target, The oven temperature probe 316490000 under certain conditions can loose it's calibration and allow the control and oven temperatures to increase and over cook. You'd want to start with a new probe, then check and recalibrate the control if needed. Read More...
1 Answer Hello John. F10 is for run away temp. 1. If fault code is present with cold oven test oven temperature sensor probe circuit resistance. Use RTD scale found in the tech sheet. 1. If oven is severely overheating/heating when no cook cycle is programmed test oven temperature sensor probe circuit resistance. 2. Replace probe or repair wiring connections if defective. 3. If temperature sensor probe circuit is good but fault code remains when oven is cold replace the EOC. 1. If oven is severely overheating/heating when no cook cycle is programmed test oven temperature sensor probe circuit resistance using the RED scale found in the service tech sheet. Also verify that the temperature sensor probe in properly installed in the oven cavity. 2. Disconnect power from the range, wait 30 seconds and reapply power. If oven continues to heat when the power is reapplied, replace the EOC. NOTE: Severe overheating may require the entire oven to be replaced should damage be extensive. Read More...
