Chuck October 15, 2014 for Model Number GLD2445RFS0 Our dishwasher shuts off completely during wash cycle. No power at all but the wire hooked up to the junction box in the washer has power. The washer does not. I took the junction box cover off and tightened up the wire nuts and thought that was it but hit the start button again and it came on, started washing then a PF light came on. Restarted it again and then the washer completely shut down again. It's not shutting off the breaker either. It's a Frigidaire and approx. 15 years old.
1 Answer Hello Chuck. Make sure there is no loose connections. If not, you will need to order and replace the electronic control board 154663004 on the unit. Read More...
Joseph T June 28, 2014 for Model Number Frigidare FDB520rhs3b Changed door gasket water was still leaking out ran dishwasher with cover off realized that during high pressure wash cycle the water was overflowing in the overflow tray need help.
1 Answer Joseph, You will want to check the spray arms to make sure that there are no cracks or clogging in the arms. If there are it can cause a rippling effect that would cause the leaking issue. Read More...
David January 14, 2014 I have a frididaire 4300 series dishwasher, when it finishes the cycle it still leaves water in the bottom of the tub right to the level of the heating element.
1 Answer Hello David. It sounds like the drain hose is clogged or the pump is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Check the hose first. If it is clear, then see if there is power to the pump. If there is power, and it does not drain, replace the pump on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Soreback December 13, 2013 for Model Number GLD2440REB When close the door and set the controls to wash, etc. the indicator lights blink and get a signal "CL" in the place where the minutes left in the cycle usually show. The manual says this indicates the door is not closed but it is and you hear it snap when you close it like it always has. Is this indicative of a bad switch in the door. What part no. would that be?
1 Answer Soreback, Correct on all counts. "CL" indicates the control is not seeing the door close. Your going to need to check the wiring and switches on the door latch assembly 154529401 and replace the assembly if all checks OK. Read More...
Dave June 03, 2013 for Model Number FDB2410LDC4 My dishwasher intermittently does not fill with water. If I reset the cycle (sometimes it takes 2x times) it will begin filling with water. I've already had the inlet valve replaced and before I replace the float switch, I want to make sure I am not missing something. Thanks in advance!
1 Answer Hello Dave. You need to check the float and make sure it is not gummed up and sticking on the unit. Read More...
Shane May 04, 2013 for Model Number PLD4375RFC0 My dishwasher will not come on. It is getting power to the unit but the display will not come on. Is there a doorwsitch assy that could be faulty causing the issue?
1 Answer Hello Shane. No, it sounds like the control board is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. The switches will not prevent the control panel from coming on and lighting up. Read More...
Steve January 17, 2013 for Model Number fdb1050rem4 I changed the water inlet switch, float valve and the latch assembly. The lights come on but there isn't anything else that happens, no water although the supply line to the machine is wide open. I hardly use the machine and it's just four years old.
1 Answer Hello Steve, You will want to turn dishwasher on and check for power going to the water valve. At start up there should be 120vac going to water valve. If there is 120 vac and there is no water flowing then you need to replace water valve. If there is not 120 vac then you will need to check on the control board to see if you are getting 120 vac out of board to the pump. You will Check P2 pin 11 to neutral for 120 vac. If no power then the control board is bad. If there is power but none getting to valve you will need to check the wiring. Read More...
Bandy January 07, 2013 for Model Number FDB1502RGS2 My dishwasher seems as though it is going through its cycle. You can hear the water coming in and you can hear it click through each cycle, but on the wash part of it, which is normally the loudest part of the cycle, you can't hear the water being circulated. The detergent door opens but it is just streaming down the front of the door and not being distributed in to the tub. Can you give me any idea what the problem is. Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Bandy, If you can hear the motor running, you need to check the filters and the spray arms for clogs. If it isn't making any motor noise during this time and voltage is being supplied to the motor, the motor 154844301 has failed and needs to be replaced. Of course, you should first check the water level when the unit has finished filling. If the water level is low, (it should be within about half an inch below the heating element), either the water valve 154637401 has failed or the water level float is stuck in the up position. Vicki October 31, 2012 for Model Number fdr252rbs2 Hi Dave My dishwasher turns on but water is not coming into the unit at all. What part does this sound like? thanks
1 Answer Vicki, First check the water level float, 154767801 in the front left corner of the tub bottom, make sure theres nothing blocking it and if you raise and lower the assembly, you should hear a " click" noise, from the bottom of the tub. If alls OK, then check or replace the water fill valve 154476102. Read More...
