Harry, You may want to start by checking the wire harness at the freezer door hinge to make sure there aren't broken or damaged wires. Then check the auger motor and drive yoke. Unfortunately, the model number you supplied (GEW9200LW0) is not for a refrigerator, it's for your front load washer. Get us the proper model number and we can assist you more effectively and efficiently. We can also include any illustrated information needed to help you diagnose the possible problems. Thanks,

L Powell C, You will want to test to see if there is power getting to the fan motor and to the compressor. If there is not then the main control board would most likely be the issue with your unit not cooling.

SoTien, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty fan motor which would be part number 4811JJ2002H. The manufacturer does not offer the fan motor by itself.

Chuckwj for Model Number PFS22MISBWW

Our GE Profile bottom-freezer fridge: In the morning, all is well (temps are 0/37, as set). mid-morning temps start to rise. (Ambient temp is 77/78 deg). Freezer gets up in the teens, then in the 20's by afternoon. (ice is 'wet') Fridge gets up to mid-40's. The compressor runs all day and is still running at bedtime. By bedtime, Temps are down a little (teens in freezer, 39/40 in fridge) . In the morning, all is well again (0/37). I know it's summer, but it hasn't done this past summers. The coils are clean. Ice maker works fine all day and is full (cuts off) by morning. Thanks

ChuckWJ, With this issue it sounds like it would be a faulty main control board that is causing the unit to stop cooling properly during the day. Also keep in mind the temperatures will vary also with how often the unit is being gotten into. This may not be the issue in your case but is a thing to look at.

Hello Dennis. The unit may be in defrost mode. If it does not start back in about 20 minutes, try unplugging it for a few minutes and then plug it back in. If this does not work, then the main board may need to be replaced.

Allan, It would be recommended to check for a defrost system failure. You will want to get into the freezer and remove the rear wall of the freezer compartment to make sure that the evaporator coil is not completely iced up. If it is then test the defrost thermostat and defrost heater for continuity. If they both have continuity then the most likely cause for this issue will be the thermistor. The part number for the thermistor would be WR55X10025.
