Harley January 28, 2013 for Model Number gsd6200j01ww Soap dispenser always seems to have soap left in it.Also, is there supposed to be an "O" ring on the nozzle in back that pushes into the upper spray arm?
1 Answer Hello Harley, The upper spray arm does not have an O ring. For the soap being left in dispenser. Check to make sure that water temp is hot enough, check to make sure that you do not have broken or cracked spray arms and make sure that the loading of unit is not interefering with the opening of the door. Bob September 02, 2012 for Model Number General Electric GLD6966R10SS DISHWASHER I am having trouble getting any pressure to the sprayer under the upper rack and also the sprayer at the top of the dishwasher. Is there supposed to be a screw holding the main conduit against the inside back of the cabinet? it looks like it has a screw hole mid way up be there is not a screw in it. I have cleaned all the filters, everything seems to fit tight but it does not seem like there is much of a seal where the top rack pushes into the main conduit. The top rack dishes do not seem to get very clean. Can you also tell me where the water level should be for proper cleaning? I am confused as to how much water should be in the bottom.
1 Answer Hi Bob. Make sure that the water manifold is clear from blockage's. Make sure that both wash arm's are completely inserted in the water manifold properly. Use dishwasher cleaner part # TJ104 monthly as the incoming water is at least 120°. Make sure that the middle wash arm manifold outlet is firmly clipped onto the manifold itself. The parts view does not show a middle manifold mount screw. Remove the bottom rear filter cover and clean all debris build up from the filter so it will have better pressure output. Thank You. Dennis C July 15, 2012 for Model Number gsd6260jloss When spray arm goes around makes a clanging noise, sounds like two dishes banging aganist each other. replaced lock nut system and fixed for awhile now doing it again, will replace again but why does it keep breaking ears off nut?
1 Answer Dennis, A couple of things you need to check, Make sure the main conduit , is properly secured to the tub. Make sure there are no articles hanging out the bottom of the rack when rolling the lower rack in and out of the unit. and check to insure the lower spray arm and flter are installed properly " To Remove Lower Arm and Fine Filter Assembly : 1. Remove lower rack from dishwasher. 2. Gently lift and rotate lower spray arm counterclockwise to remove. 3. Rotate nut hub counterclockwise to remove. Gently lift fine filter assembly up. Remove fine filter drain from sump. 4. Clean fine filter screen if soil is present. 5. To reinstall fine filter and lower spray arm reverse procedure. NOTE: When installing fine filter make sure the drain port of the filter is engaged with the drain for the fine filter." Thanks Read More...
Joe September 20, 2011 for Model Number GSD6500J01BB I too have a growling noise coming from the dishwasher - had it repaired under warranty the first time and the conduit main (WD12X10057) was replaced. After 1 year, and now out of warranty it is doing it again. Checked the filters, arms, and can find no problem. Could the conduit be bad even though I can not find any reason to beleive it is?
1 Answer Joe, I would not expect that to occur again, but it's not impossible, You could have a deposit build up or something in the tube to cause the noise. But , check and make sure the detergent and rinse aid is not "foaming" up during the cycle, and that you have a proper water level in the bottom of the tub(level should be even with the bottom flange of the tub front) First. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
Mike H. September 14, 2011 for Model Number PDW9280NOOSS Washer would keep running and not clean anything very well at all. Also the touch pad only responds to a couple commands, mostly does not function. Repair guy said it needs a new touch pad, water inlet valve and also thinks the 'main board' is bad because 'with no water, looks like the unit overheated'. This was $95 worth of advice and wants to charge $504 plus tax to repair. I'm sure I could repair once I had the parts. This unit is only 3 years old and pretty disappointed with it's seemingly short life span. Can reasonable mechanical skills repair with a diagram and parts from you? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Mike. Yes, these are not very hard parts to install and you should be able to repair it. Be sure and turn the power off before working on the unit. You will need to order the control board WD21X10370, the touch pad WD34X11210, and the water valve WD15X10014. Hope this helps. Read More...
David April 22, 2011 for Model Number GE GLD6200L0BB Washer makes a groaning noise when washing. Top Rack is not getting clean. Was told by repair man that it was the impeller assembly I ordered one and replaced it myself. Did not fix the noise. I don't think the middle arm is turning. Is there supposed to be a rubber ring around the nozzle that feeds the middle arm? There is an indention around the nozzle that looks like it seals the connection when the top rack is pushed in. I am wondering if the seal is broken that there is not enough pressure to spin arm and that is what is making the noise.
1 Answer Hi David, from your explanation you might need either the main water conduit WD12X10057 or the middle spray arm WD12X10052. Hope this helps! Read More...
Mike R March 10, 2011 for Model Number GSD6200G00BB Recently I've noticed that the top rack isn't getting washed very well. Trash and debris get's caught on top of things and even undissolved Cascade soap gets left on things. I thought thought maybe the upper and middle water nozzles weren't spinning so I ran an empty load and then quickly opened the door only to find that the big middle one under the top rack wasn't moving and the little one on top was moving very slow if at all. It leads me to believe that there is a leak in the water pressure that is suppose to go up the main conduit, but how do you find it when the dishwasher isn't running? I was hoping the parts diagrams would help me find out without just taking it apart looking for broken pieces or seals. Any help out there?
1 Answer Hello Mike. Check and make sure all the spray arms and conduit is clear from any debris. Also make sure you are using rinse aid in the dishwasher, and your water is hot before you start the dishwasher. Here is a part number for some dishwahser cleaner, that should help as well. TJ104 Thanks. Read More...
