Bob August 01, 2017 for Model Number JP350BA2BB I have a GE Range top the switch for the front right burner will emit a popping sound and appear to spark tripping the circuit breaker. I have tested the switch with and my tester says the switch is passing power. will replacing the switch fix my problem or might there be another issue that is causing the switch to do what its doing?
1 Answer Hello Bob. Yes, it sounds like the switch WB24X29364 is bad if it is sparking and popping. Read More...
Bruno February 24, 2017 for Model Number JCP930BC1BB I have a GE Profile cook top model JCP930BC1BB, the switch for the front left burner(57) is defective. According the the parts breakdown all 4 switches are labeled #19 and there are 3 switches to choose from. Can you tell me which switch is the one I need. Thanks in advance
Peter February 09, 2016 for Model Number JP350BOV1BB Hi, the right front dual-element burner on my GE cooktop only operates at high regardless of the switch setting. Do I need an infinite heat control switch? If so what is the part number? Also after watching the video it looks like I will also need the double sided tape to reinstall the glass top...can you give me that part also?
1 Answer Hello Peter. You will need to order WB24X29364 for the switch needed. They do not show any tape needed for your model number. Read More...
Les February 06, 2016 I need the switch for the left rear burner. I cannot tell which one I will need from info on the site.
1 Answer Hello Les, I'm sorry but we will have to ask you to provide the model number from the units' I.D. tag. This is the only way to accurately look up part numbers that will definitely fit your unit. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
John C. November 01, 2015 for Model Number JP930BC1BB Right front burner stays on high all the time. Can't control the heat either automatically or manually. What switch should I order to fix.
1 Answer John, The infinite switch for your unit for the dual element will be part number WB24T10119. Read More...
Bob D. June 28, 2015 for Model Number jp350wociww I need a control switch. I checked all the diagrams and they are not compatible. How come?
1 Answer Hello Bob, I'm sorry but our compatibility tool is still in work. It is still not recognizing all model and part numbers so it should be disregarded. You will need to order a WB23M8 if the issue is a small element, and a WB23M9 if the large element is the issue. Read More...
Victor November 24, 2014 for Model Number JP350WV1WW My dual surface element will not come off of high. After reading other posts sounds like the infinite switch? My main question is will I have to remove the entire cook top from the counter to get to the switch? I don't see any other way. Just wanted to make sure I'm not missing something.
1 Answer Hello Victor. Yes, it sounds like the switch is bad. You will have to remove the cooktop to replace the switch. Read More...
Mark February 24, 2014 for Model Number JP350W0A2WW The right front (dual) burner on my cooktop does not cycle off, it blasts full heat even when set to low. I assume I need to replace the switch but I can't tell from the parts diagram which part number I need for this dual element burner. Secondly, it would be nice to get stainless steel replacement knobs too since we are updating our kitchen but I can only find black knobs so far. Thanks!!!!
John February 06, 2013 for Model Number JP660W0V1WW I need to replace the right, front controller (the variable control) for a burner in my GE electric cook top. My cook top has large and small burners. I am told by your site that the large burner has the same replacement controller as the small burners. Your site wants to sell me the controller I have on my small burners, to replace the one on my large burner. The larger burner control (which I need to replace) has six terminals and the small ones have five (into which to plug-in wires). The larger burner’s controller is also about twice as big (in volume of the controller box), as compared to the controller for the small burners. This size difference might be due to the fact that the larger burner controller needs to control a larger burner, I don’t know. The sixth terminal on the large burner controller might be due to the fact that this larger burner has a variable size switch (which can make it a “small” burner by turning a separate switch). Could your site be correct that the five terminal controller (which is currently on my small burners) is the correct replacement for my large burner which currently has a six-terminal controller on it? If so, what would I do with the sixth wire, when replacing the six terminal control with a five terminal control?
1 Answer John, the infinite switch used on the right front dual element is part number WB23K5053. Burner switch part number WB24X29364 is a voltage sensitive switch used for multiple sizes (the small and large burners). Thanks! Read More...
Rudie Allison November 28, 2011 for Model Number JP350BV1BB The 9 inch element on my GE cooktop always seems to overheat. Is the problem most likely the infinite control or the element?
1 Answer Rudie, The infinite switch WB24X29364 , would be the issue, if there is an issue. You need to remember, 2500 watts is a lot of heat, when that element is on the high setting. Once all that heat gets transferred into the pot or pan and contents, it would seem like it's overheating. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
