Neal January 05, 2015 for Model Number WM3001HRA I have followed you excellent video on how to replace the drain motor. My washer does not have the nylon clip assembly for the drain motor. The drain motor is mounted on a shock absorbing platform by 3 bolts. Do I just remove the 3 bolts and proceed from there? Thanks for the great help. Neal Obert
1 Answer Hello Neal. Yes, just remove the bolts securing the pump to the unit. The videos are for reference, but may not be model specific. So some models are a little different. Read More...
Chloe December 28, 2014 for Model Number LG Tromm WM3677HW Thank you so much for the very helpful video on replacing the drain pump! I found it very easy to follow and my pump replacement (which arrived quickly - thank you!) went off without a hitch...or so I thought. I replaced the pump because the water wasn't properly draining during the dry cycle and clothes were sopping wet after 2 hrs of drying - more so then they were at the end of the wash/spin cycle. The new pump seems to be working, but now the water will not stop going into the drum during the wash cycle. I finally stopped it after the drum was half way full! It seems like the pump replacement is unrelated to water levels and the automatic shut off. Any ideas? Thank you very much! Chloe
1 Answer Hello Chloe. Based on the information you provided, the water valve is bad or the pressure hose has come off. Check the hose first. If it is good, then replace the valve that is not turning off. Read More...
Heather December 27, 2014 for Model Number Lg wm2016cw Hi I have an lg tromm model # wm2016cw. I was told it needed a new washer drain pump motor. But the individual that came too look at them ended up taking more than just the motor pump and of course no where to be found or contacted. So I am needing all the parts connected to it. I was told from Sears that it requires to motors is this correct? Also I have found all the parts connected possibly but was wondering if you could tell me if these were the right part numbers for my unit. Lg washer drain pump assembly 4681ea2001C, 4681ea2001D, 3108er1001A. Please and thank you.
1 Answer Heather, based on the model number given the drain pump is part number 4681EA2001T, pump filter is part number 383EER2001A and pump casing is part number 3108ER1001B. The model does not show a circulation pump motor on it. Thanks. Read More...

Ray October 16, 2014 for Model Number LG wm2140cw My washer will drain and spin out perfectly sometimes but other times it doesnt want to spin out, it just tumbles slowly. The screen is clean so could it be the drain pump keeping it from spinning? Why does sometimes it works but other times doesn't? It is about 3 years old used by a family of 2. What would the part number be if it is the drain pump?
1 Answer Ray, You will want to access the drain pump and hoses that lead from the bottom of the tub to the drain pump and make sure that there is nothing that is clogging them. If the unit always drains but just will not go into the spin then the issue may be with the pressure switch resetting. This could be caused by a clog in the pressure hose. It is doubtful that the drain pump is faulty as the unit works sometimes but not others. Read More...
David September 22, 2014 for Model Number WM2455HW Can the drain pump be replaced from the back? I have my dryer stacked on the washer which makes it a bit hard to remove the top panel of the washer.
Craig S. September 12, 2014 for Model Number WM1814CW Water not draining from tub and got the OE Code. Pump does not sound good so I believe it is bad. However, I did check the filter first. When I tried to drain the water with the small tube by the filter I could not get any water to drain out of it. Could this mean I need the whole pump assembly or should I just get the motor?
1 Answer Craig, The small tube is the pressure tube for the unit and water may not come out of it. You will want to replace the drain motor which is what would be faulty on the pump assembly. Read More...
Jorge August 20, 2014 for Model Number LG WF-S1051TP Hi, my pump motor went bad like three years ago and got the replacement from you. Two days ago the machine stop in the middle of the cycle with clothes in it and was full of water, I took out the clothes and emptied the water from the machine with a bucket. The problem now is that the machine doesn't have any power at all, will changing the pump again restore the power or something else is wrong. Thanks for your help
1 Answer Jorge, You will want to check to make sure that there is power coming into the unit. Check for 120 vac at the main control board. If there is not 120 vac then there may be a line filter on your unit that you will need to check to make sure that there is power going into it and coming out of it. If the power goes into but not out of it then it is faulty and would need to be replaced. Read More...
