Penney August 17, 2014 for Model Number WM2010C Getting an OE error code. Checked drain hoses, no clogs. Can't seem to get the correct part# for the drain pump motor for my LG washing machine.
Gary July 18, 2014 for Model Number WM2277HW I need to replace the drain hose in my LG washer. I have followed the video on how to disassemble the washer but I can't get the top off. It won't slide back to lift up. It seems to be stuck. I have unscrewed all the screws. How do I get it unstuck?
1 Answer Hello Gary. If all screws are removed, you should be able to slide the top back and off. If it is stuck, try hitting the sides of the top with the palm of your hand as your are sliding it backwards. Read More...
Alex July 13, 2014 for Model Number WM3987H Will this pump work as a replacement for the recirculating pump as well?
1 Answer Hello Alex! No, part number 4681EA2001T is the drain pump motor only. The circulation pump is part number EAU61383503. Thanks. Read More...
Phil July 04, 2014 for Model Number WM2455HG I ran it 4 or 5 time to try to figure it out why it wouldn't do the spin cycle. We had an error: OE . Sounds like the drain pump. Now when you push the start button, the control panel won't even light up. There is power to the unit. I plan on taking it apart, is there a possible fuse burned out? Any suggestions? Thanks, phil
1 Answer Phil, You will want to check the main control board EBR32268002 to make sure that there is 120 vac getting to it. If there is no power to it then you will want to check the line filter 6201EC1006T. If the line filter has power in but no power out then you will need to replace the line filter. If there is power in and out and power at the main control board then the issue would either be a faulty control or a faulty display board. Read More...
1 Answer Hello David. If there is power to the pump, and the hoses are clear, you will need to replace the pump on the unit. It is bad and will not pump out under pressure. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Jim May 31, 2014 for Model Number wm2487hrm Hello, our washer drains during some cycles and not during other cycles. There is an OE message. Does this indicate the drain pump motor needs to be replaced? Thanks
1 Answer Jim, Yes, the "OE" error code indicates the tub still has enough water in it to keep the pressure switch from resetting to empty. You will want to dismantle the pump assembly and check the hoses and impeller for damage or clogs> If all's OK, then replace the drain pump 4681EA2001T. Read More...
Rich May 30, 2014 for Model Number WM3987HW Greetings..i have an LG washer/dryer combo and today i turned the machine on and water began to leak out from under the bottom. the water was bubbling out from under it and it was considerable.. i turned off the machine and the water didnt stop. the water stopped only after i turned of the water supply to the machine. no water leaks on the water hoses or connections. thanks
1 Answer Rich, You will want to check the water valve to make sure that the housing of the valve does not have a crack in it. This would be the most likely cause with the water not shutting off when the unit is shut off. Read More...
Mark K. May 18, 2014 for Model Number WM1814CW When the machine goes into the high speed spin cycle it sounds like a jet engine. What could this be? The machines about 7 years old. Thanks.
1 Answer Mark, sounds like the bearings on the outer tub are going out. The bearings are part numbers 4280EN4001A and 4280EN4001B. Thanks! Read More...
Scott P March 29, 2014 for Model Number wm2277hw I replaced my drain pump motor on my washing machine (LG WM2277HW) about six weeks ago because the tub was not draining. It worked fine after. Now it is doing the same thing. Could it be a bad motor again or is it something else? Also there is a loud humming noise coming from bottom of the washer near were the drain motor is? Thanks
1 Answer Scott, It is unlikely for the drain pump to fail after 6 weeks, although it can happen. The first thing that you will want to check is to make sure that there is nothing clogged in the drain pump that would cause it to not run and would cause the vibration noise. If there is something clogged then you will want to test the unit by putting it into a diagnostic after the pump has been cleaned. If the pump does not pump the water out then it may have been damaged by the debris. Read More...
