Oscar April 29, 2020 for Model Number WM3670HVA What is holding the drain assembly to the washer frame? Is it the parts K349 K348 and K347? I don't see 3 screw that holds the pump assembly to the frame after I took the front door out. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Oscar, there is a video showing the 3 screw mounting on the front lower frame in the repair video for the drain motor 4681EA2001T on our website.. Read More...
Boy Howdy April 13, 2020 for Model Number WM3470HWA My washer will neither drain or spin. Would a bad drain pump keep the machine from going into spin cycle? I've ordered a new drain pump from you, but am wondering if I need a different part - or perhaps another part. Thank You.
1 Answer Boy h, The machine won't go into a high spin until the water has been pumped out. I would check the drain pump for power in the drain/spin setting and if the power is there check the pump for blockage and or damage to the impeller. Read More...
Steve Zichler April 13, 2020 for Model Number LG Model wm3370hva I watched the repair video on replacing the drain pump. It was all fine until i got to removing the three hoses. the drain hose and the tub to pump hose sere in proper places. The smaller hose on the right didn't exist. instead there were TWO nipples that a hose could be attached to, but no hose.Is this a missing hose problem or normal?
1 Answer Steve, Some models would have the extra hose but there are some that will not so this would be normal. Read More...

Dave February 24, 2020 for Model Number LG model WM2277HS Would you suggest replacing both the drain pump and recirculation pump at the same time?
1 Answer Dave, if there was any obstruction in the impellers that may have caused any damage, it would be recommended to change out the motor that was impacted. However, if the circulation pump or drain pump is operating properly, it would be a choice based on preference rather than necessity. Read More...
Joe November 12, 2019 for Model Number LG WM2050C I assume I need a new drain pump. The machine "rests" between the wash and rinse cycle. At this time a rattle starts that can best be described as a couple of dice in a cup. Water is then pumped from the discharge and the rattle stops. All stages of the wash, rinse, and spin cycle work fine. There are no strange noises, and the pump pumps strong. My only concern is that the noise is the pump cavitating due to a) an air leak b) a worn pump, or c) a restriction on the intake side. Is there anything I should check before replacing the pump? I should add, the drain lines appear clear, and the filter is clean.
1 Answer Joe, it is recommended that the drain pump 4681EA2001T impeller is inspected for any debris that may be stuck between the impeller and sidewall. If there is no debris, then either the impeller shaft is shifting in the bearing, or the impeller is worn where it connects to the shaft. Read More...
Tim October 07, 2019 for Model Number WM8000HWA Great video by the way. Followed to a Tee until I got to the plastic release on the pump assembly. Mine does not have one. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Tim, the plastic release will be located at the bottom base just behind where the pump assembly is. Once the tab is pressed down into the base, the assembly should slide back. Read More...
Ruschin July 02, 2019 for Model Number wm1814cw Hello. The video on how to replace the pump was complete and well done. Thank You. The only concern I have is that when I took things apart I took a picture of the pump and wires before I disconnected. The old pump had the red wire going to the L on pump and the brown(black) to the N on the pump. The video had indicated these in reverse (Red to N and Brown/Black to L). Does this matter or determine which way the motor/pump spins? Also, everything is back together and working, get the new pump makes much more noise than the old one. A lot of loud humming and a intense vibration almost screaming at a specific point in each cycle. Didn't know if this is normal? Yet machine seems to be working. Thoughts?
1 Answer Ruschin, the line, and neutral placement does make a difference. You will want to ensure that the wires were placed on the new pump as they were on the old pump. If the wires were connected backwards, then this can cause more wear on the motor. In regards to the vibration, you may want to ensure that the drain pump and housing are secured fully as a loose fit can cause excessive vibration. Read More...
