Hello Glen. Yes, leave open where the white wire is, but you must attach to the other terminal on the high limit with the single wire.

Steve, You will want to check the dryer belt and make sure that the belt is not damaged. Check the rollers to make sure that they are turning freely. These things can cause the drum to not turn even though the units motor is turning.

Mike for Model Number 796.81532210

I just replaced the front thermostat on the heater assembly, the dryer ran fine for one load the quit again. I have checked the dryer vent pipe and all internal passages for obstructions and found none. I checked the thermostat in the blower housing along with the thermocouple in the blower housing, both seem to be ok with 10 ohms. I also checked the rear cycling switch in the heater housing. I am unable to tell what temperature it switches at but it seems to have continuity after it switches for a second or two in both directions (on and off), before it breaks connection. Is that the cause for overheating and blowing the front thermostat? Is there anything else to check? I have already ordered a new front thermostat and cycling switch to try out.

Hello Mike. If the cycling thermostat does not fix it, either the heater is grounded or the board is bad on the unit.

Hello Kim. You will need to check and see if the heater is over heating and causing the issues with the unit. If so, the cycling thermostat on the unit may need to be replaced.
