Clark December 16, 2012 for Model Number LG DLE2516W The dryer runs, not for alotted time and the air is warm, been runnig a load all day and not drying, put it on manual for 60 minutes and went for about 10 and stopped.
1 Answer Hello Clark, You will want to check your thermostats and heater for continuity. Also check the venting from blower motor all the way to the outside of unit. A clogged vent will cause moisture to stay trapped in unit causing long dry times. The hi limit thermostat could be cycling too quickly which would cause the dryer to not heat properly. You could check to see if you are getting 120 vac to each side of the heater if you are not then you will need to test the circuit to the supply. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Chayse E. July 20, 2012 for Model Number Dle131w0 Dryer is not drying. Just replaced the heater assembly. With new thermostat and other sensor I forget it's name. But everything is spinning and it's blowing air out the back. I'm lost. What can this be?
1 Answer Hello Chayse. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. Also check the heater and thermostats and see if they are good. You can test these with a multi-meter MA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity. James B. February 17, 2012 for Model Number DLE2516W On the auto dry settings (51 minutes) the dryer will run for about 25 minutes then drop to 4 minutes remaining then 1 minute then ends. The towels are still real damp. Its not the vent because I took it in my shop to check it.
1 Answer Hello James. It sounds like the thermistor 6323EL2001B is bad on the unit and will need to be replaced. You can test the thermistor and see if it is good. It should read around 10k at room temperature. It is located on the blower housing of the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Frank December 14, 2011 for Model Number DLE3777W Does not completely dry towels in one cycle. Lately, have to run dryer twice.
1 Answer Hello Frank. It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly. Hope this helps. Read More...
Sean December 07, 2011 for Model Number DLE2515S My LG dryer has no heat. The heating assembly has 3 wires on it. A red one, a yellow one and a blue one. I was expecting to find 2 wires. To test for continuity am I checking the red against the yellow and then the blue against the yellow?
1 Answer Hello Sean. Yes, you will test from the top wire to the middle, and from the middle to the bottom. If the heater 5301EL1001J is good, it should read closed for continuity. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
