Hello Clark, You will want to check your thermostats and heater for continuity. Also check the venting from blower motor all the way to the outside of unit. A clogged vent will cause moisture to stay trapped in unit causing long dry times. The hi limit thermostat could be cycling too quickly which would cause the dryer to not heat properly. You could check to see if you are getting 120 vac to each side of the heater if you are not then you will need to test the circuit to the supply. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Hello Frank. It sounds like the venting system is clogged or kinked. You will need to check the vent and clean it out. Be sure and clean the vent pipe and the dryer air duct assembly. If the air flow is not good, the unit will retain moist air causing the clothes not to dry. Try running the unit with the vent unhooked from the back of the dryer and see if the dryer works properly. Hope this helps.
