Scott September 22, 2012 for Model Number LDF7932 After 2.5 years this LG diswasher will not clean dishes. In fact, it won't even clean the inside of the door off as it leaves detergent running down the inside of the door. I have literally checked everything on this unit, ran all the diagnostics, changed the soil sensor and even the control board. I noticed in test mode that very little water comes through the spray arms with very little pressure to not even turn the lower spray arms. The only thing I can think of is maybe the motor assembly could be "going" bad if that is even possible to eventually and slowly lose its power over time. It still works and the food chopper spins when running diagnostics in test mode. I am stumped and ready to give up. I was going to buy a new motor to try it but I don't want to spend money on parts if I don't need to.
1 Answer Hello Scott, As long as the unit is filling satisfactorily, the pump assembly AJH31248608 is the only thing that can be the cause. Read More...
Nick May 14, 2012 for Model Number ldf6810st Dishwasher is not cleaning very good at all, I can tell that the top arm is not moving water. I have taken the assembly all apart clear down to the circulating motor. It makes a grinding sound when the entire time it is cleaning and the pump is running. I assume it's the pump but didn't know what you guys would suggest? Thanks for any info.
1 Answer Hello Nick. Check the water level and see if it is low in the unit. If the water level is low it will cause the unit not to circulate the water to the top arms. If that is the case, you will need to replace the water valve 5221DD1001F in the unit. Read More...
Noluck April 26, 2012 for Model Number LDS5811WW I read here that error code LE is for the wash motor, my model would require Item Number: AP5325099. would the replacement instructions be included with the motor ordered here? Thank you.
1 Answer Noluck, You're correct, the "LE" error display does indicate an issue in the pump, it doesn't necessarily mean you have a faulty motor. You'll want to dismantle the pump/sump assembly and check for a blocked chopper blade, impeller, etc. We're sending you some information, that should be helpful, as far as checking and replacement of the possible parts you may need. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
Ron April 16, 2012 for Model Number lds5811st LE code keeps coming on. Have cleaned filter and impeller. Impeller is rotating fine no restrictions. I did clean some trash out of it. Is there two motors or just one. Is the vario motor the problem?
1 Answer Hi Ron. The LE code is the motor part # 4681ED1004B. Condition : The Motor is working abnormally.Wiring connection is OK? Check the wiring connection. The Impeller of Washing Pump is locked. Fred February 24, 2012 for Model Number LDS4821ST Our LG dishwasher is making a high pitch whin the entire time it is washing. I have done a bunch of research that indicated it was a motor bearing gone bad most likely from a bearing seal leak. I then noticed there are several diferent motors. I am thinking the problem is AP5325099 because of the location. Do you know which motor has been giving LG customers a high pitch headache? Thank you for your time.
1 Answer Hello Fred. Either motor can cause a high pitched whine. All it takes is a foreign object such as a bread tie to make its' way into the unit. I would suspect the circulation pump 4681ED1004B before the drain pump because of the servive calls I've experienced. If it were mine, I would remove the drain pump EAU61383518 and insure no foriegn objects were in the impeller before replacing the circulation pump. Hope this helps! Read More...
