William August 03, 2021 for Model Number ne58f9500ss The front touch pad on my Samsung slide-in electric range is warm or hot to the touch even after oven and burners have been off overnight .It is still lighting up and functioning normally with all features working, but it is noticeably warm or hot to the touch. It is hottest in the middle and left side of the touch pad and less hot on the right half. What could be the cause of this?
1 Answer William, You will want to check the display board to make sure that there are good connections at the board and that there is nothing loose. If there is not then the display board would be the most likely cause unless there is something that is staying on when the oven is off. Read More...
Chris May 19, 2021 for Model Number NE58F9710WS/AA I read your response to Chris in an earlier thread and I'm having the same issue. How do I find the NE400 connection to check the voltage? Is there a wiring diagram that I can download? The serial number on this oven is J1927DCD900720H
1 Answer Chris, the connection TE400 is on the display control and would be located at the top left. Next to the connection should be a small identification showing it as TE400. Read More...
Chris April 05, 2021 for Model Number NE58F9710WS After a breaker blew recently, when the breaker was reset the oven temperature led display in extremely dim and is hard to read. What would you recommend we try to do to repair it? Do we need to replace the entire control board/
1 Answer Chris, if the unit functions aside from the LEDs, the failure would likely be in the display. The display should receive a 12VDC supply at the connection TE400 from the main control. For the most accurate part information, the REV number of this appliance would be necessary. Read More...
Pete August 28, 2020 for Model Number NE58F9500SS/AA One of my burners was acting up (getting extra hot) and then I smelled a burning plastic odor. A little later I heard a pop and the range went dead, i.e. wasn't working and no lights on control panel. I took off the front panel and found one of the cords on the range regulator had charred the plastic connector. Should I get just a new regulator or do I also need to order a Assy PCB main? Or something else? Thanks!
1 Answer Pete, A loose connection causes heat so that connector that melted could have had a bad connection. You could probably repair the wiring and reconnect. It probably tripped the breaker when the wire touched metal. Read More...
Daniel May 27, 2020 for Model Number NE58F9500SS/AA My display is not responding. (no lights, can't turn on the oven) The stovetop heats. I replaced DE96-01027A ASSY MODULE;ASSY DISPLAY,NEF900A-PJT,E-S. This did not fix the issue. What is the next step to troubleshooting the non-responsive board?
1 Answer Daniel, based on the information provided, there is either a wiring issue from the mainboard to the new display control, an open TCO (can be tested for continuity on the back of the range), or the main control board has failed. However, the model number provided appears to be a partial model number. If the full model and REV numbers could be provided in a new inquiry, this will allow for the most accurate parts information to be presented. Read More...
Steve January 29, 2019 for Model Number NE58F9710WS/AA-0000 I replaced the display board DE96-01027a. When I power the oven back on, the display lights with the clock flashing, but I get no response from the touch keys. So it’s still unusable. Any ideas?
1 Answer Steve, Try pressing the cancel button to see if it clears and lets you select a cycle. If after that still has the same response I would kill power from the breaker and wait 5 minutes to reapply power and see if it clears. Last option is to open the control panel back up and make sure all connections are inserted properly and seated correctly. Read More...
Tai April 15, 2018 for Model Number NE58F9500SS/AA-0000 The inner glass on the control panel of our oven fractured by itself, not sure why. Now the touchpad still functions but the entire display is blurred by the glass fracture. I want to know whether the part DE96-01027A contains all the glasses all the way to the outer surface users actually put their fingers on to operate. Your answer would be greatly appreciated.
1 Answer Tai, The part number for the glass will be DE96-01027A for the control board part and would also need the control panel assembly DG94-00888L. Read More...
Matt January 29, 2018 for Model Number NE58F9710WS I pulled one of the ribbon connectors off the main board while replacing the glass cooktop. Now my sceen is doesnt work, but all of the burners are still working. Just the display not working. Do I need to replace the whole board?
1 Answer Matt, You will need to check to make sure that the ribbon harness is reconnected firmly. If this checks ok then the display would most likely be the issue. Read More...
1 Answer Rico, If the display is not working then this would most likely be caused by a faulty main control board on the unit and would be part number DE92-02439G. Read More...
Rico July 03, 2017 for Model Number NE58F9500SS We used the self cleaning cycle and now the main board is non functional and the oven is locked. I think that the main board is fried due to over heat. Burners work. I just want to know if this thinking is correct before I purchase a new board. Also what will prevent this from happening again? Never use the self cleaning cycle. The heat exhaust is right under the board! Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Rico! Unfortunately from your description, it sounds like the board is defective. The only way to prevent from happening again would be to avoid using the self cleaning cycle. Please call us at 877-477-7278 with your model number and series number to locate your correct EOC, thanks! Read More...
