Jason, Yes the [DC97-14875B] Spider and shaft assembly will fit in your Canadian Samsung Washer. You may also want to consider new mounting bolts ]DC60-40137A] (qty 6). At this time AppliancePartsPros.com does not ship parts to Canada or outside the USA. Sorry, but Thanks

Mike, It does appear that they should be similar to each other but you will want to check the shaft just to make sure that they are not different sizes. If the shaft is the same size then it will work.

I have a 4yr old Samsung s/s front loader on a pedestal. The tub continues to spin for hours and the clothes remain soaking wet. We've had 3 technicians, one replaced the door seal, one the control box and the last, A Samsung rep said it was the dampers. The home warranty co sent out another tech from a diff co and he said it was the spider assembly behind the tub and it would be too costly to fix and to call it a loss. The ins gave us 300. towards a new machine and I still paid 135. for service calls. What can I do? We are retired for years so I did not abuse the washer but the clothes never came as clean as my top loader. Is it worth fixing or should I call it a day and buy a top loader because I sure wouldn't get another front loader.

Pat, We would need to have the model number of the unit to be able to give you the part number of the spider. This job is not an easy one and if you do not feel that you could replace the spider, which would require complete disassembly of the tub, then you would have to get a service tech to install the parts on the unit.

Mike, Yes the spider would be made of the same type of material as would any other new models. Things that can cause the spider to corrode would be too much detergent usage. Make sure that you use the correct amount and that you are using HE detergent.
