Scott April 07, 2021 for Model Number Rf4287hars/xaa Frig and freezer working but the display is flashing the temp of the freezer only do I need to replace the mother board Ps what ever temp the freezer is set at and if I turn the unit off and back on it takes 24 to 48 hours to start blinking again
1 Answer Scott, Based on the information provided you would need to replace the display board and then if the same issue, then replace the main pcb. Read More...
Edg July 05, 2020 for Model Number rf4287hars/xaa at first cond fan inop replaced fan --still inop. refer would cool when reset with a fan set near compressor. now refer will not reset control panel is inop no lights or buttons showing. but water fill lit is on and inside lights work??? help
1 Answer EDG, With the condenser fan not operating after replacing it then this would be a control board issue in which it will cause the other issue that is occurring. Read More...
Antonio October 18, 2019 for Model Number RF4287HARS/XAA Which item feeds the fan condenser between assy pcb main board (AP4700500)or assy pcb sub inverter ( AP4568216 )? There is no cooling, I did change the fan condenser but looks like there is not enough electricity to run the fan. thank you
1 Answer Antonio, the condenser fan motor would be provided voltage by the main control board. For the most accurate part information, the REV number would be necessary to ensure the correct part can be found. Read More...
Kehoe September 01, 2019 for Model Number RF4287HARS/XAA-0001 Hi, I have noticed the flex drawer light randomly comes on. More recently I have noticed ice is melting from ice maker. After reading several posts I found the fridge stops cooling if the fridge senses the door open. The likely culprit is the reed sensor. I located the reed sensor and magnet on the right corner, however this is connected to a harness of other wires and not and individual reed switch. I have looked at many diagrams for this fridge but don't see this part. Secondly, I'm not sure if it is the reed switch because the door could be working fine all day without anybody touching it than randomly have the light come on with the alarm sounding than just as quickly start functioning again. Any advice would be appreciated. TY
1 Answer Kehoe, the mid drawer switch can be tested from the main control at connection CN76 from pin 13 (with red probe of meter) to pin 10 (with black probe of meter). When closed, there should be 0VDC and 5VDC when open. If this tests good, then the most likely issue is the flex zone panel control. If the voltages do not change, then the switch has failed. If there is no voltage output at all, then the main control has failed. The REV number of your model would be necessary for ensuring that the correct parts can be found. Read More...
Rachel August 07, 2019 for Model Number samsung fridge RF4287HAWP/XAA 02 All cooling is working. The display board on the door is cherring. The lights in the display either blink or go off completely. They do not respond to touch.
1 Answer Rachel, you may want to test the display for incoming voltage using a multimeter TJMA-DMT3. From the pink wire terminal on the display (using black probe of meter) to the orange wire terminal (using the red probe) there should be 13 VDC continuously, if not then the connection at the door and the main control would need to be inspected. If the connections are secured, then the most likely issue is the main control DA41-00684A. If there is continuous voltage being supplied to the display, then the display control DA41-00692A has failed. Read More...
Bernard July 08, 2019 Samsung model rf4287hars/xaa, on the display, the panel reads off for the fridge and freezer and won't go off.
1 Answer Bernard, you may want to press the energy saver key and the power freeze/freezer key at the same time and hold them down for five seconds. If the refrigerator has been put into a display mode, this will put it back into cooling mode. If this does not work, then the most likely cause would be the main control not accepting input from the display board. If this occurs, the REV number for this model would be needed to ensure that the correct board is found. Read More...
Bob July 01, 2019 for Model Number RF4287HAWP The refrigerator is not cooling. The lights under the french doors randomly flicker. These are the lights that are supposed to light the flex door when the flex door is open. The refrigerator is not cooling properly & this started at the same time I noticed the lights flickering. Are these symptoms related?
1 Answer Hello Bob, This is most likely going to be caused by a failed main PCB DA41-00684A. The power supplies for all onboard components are on this board. Read More...
Randy June 26, 2019 for Model Number RF4287HAWP I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM NEW BOARD DOES NOT HAVE SPACE FOR THE RED CONNECTOR IN MIDDLE. FRIG DOES NOT WORK WITH OUT IT PLUGED IN.
1 Answer Randy, The control board DA92-00233D has the red connector in the center. This control fits a lot of models so part depends on the serial code to determine between the two boards. Read More...
Terry June 16, 2019 for Model Number RF4287HARS/XAA-01 My ice maker started freezing up. Cleaned it and still froze without dumping the ice. Replaced icemaker, water valve and checked to make sure it's getting enough water pressure. Still not working. New ice maker did same thing as old one. Could this be a computer problem that controls the icemaker?
1 Answer Terry, With the icemaker filling with water but not ejecting the ice then this would be a main control board in which the main board would need replaced. Read More...
Michael P March 21, 2019 for Model Number RF428HARS/XAA I have a Samsung Refrigerator Model RF428HARS/XAA. The flex drawer above the freezer compartment has a temperature control panel on the top edge of the drawer. The temp is stuck on 29 degrees (lowest setting). Pressing the electronic button on the panel does not cycle through the temperature options. What part controls this temperature and panel operation? Main PCB? Does the panel switch go bad very often? Main panel controls on front of refrigerator all seem to operate normally, so if main PCB controls, then maybe the flex drawer control panel switch is the culprit? Is there a way to test the panel switch?
1 Answer Michael, This issue will be with the display control DA97-10605B and unfortunately there is no way to test the part. Read More...
