Questions & Answers

For Samsung Refrigerator Water Inlet Valve Assembly (Part Number: OEM13534080)

1 Answer

Rebecca, the inlet fill tube DA97-05362C will need to be inspected for any ice blocks. If there is an ice block in the tubing, the water valve DA97-07827B is leaking by and would need to be changed. The valve can also be tested for 120VAC when the ice maker is placed into a harvest cycle using the reset button. If the valve receives 120VAC and does not fill the ice maker with water, the valve has failed. If it does not receive 120VAC, the most likely failure would be with the ice maker DA97-07365G.

Chuck, the water valve will be located in the back of the unit inside of the compressor compartment.

Bruce, This unit has a triple valve, one for the upper icemaker, one for the lower icemaker and one for the dispenser. You will want to check to make sure that when you cycle the icemaker using the test button that it is not filling and if it is not then the water valve DA97-07695A would be the most likely cause for this issue.

Hello Randy, You should disconnect the water line at the door hinge and put it into a container to catch water to see if it dispenses there. If it does, the water line in the door is frozen. If not, check at the water valve to see if water will come out there when dispensed. If not, the water valve DA97-07827B is the issue.

Ashley for Model Number RFG29THDRS/XAA

Upper ice maker does not work after suddenly leaking water out the door dispenser. No water is dispensed into the ice maker. I push the reset button, it beeps but then does nothing. I bought and installed a whole new ice maker (part DA97-07365A) and replaced, but it does the same thing (reset button beeps but no water dispensed to ice maker and no cycling). The water dispenses out the door fine. Bottom ice maker works fine. Thoughts on the problem?

1 Answer

Ashley, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty main control board with the icemaker having already been replaced.

Victor, If the display is not switching from ice to water then this would be an issue with the display control board.

Bud, This valve will come with the c clip but would not cause a leak. This would most likely be caused by a water valve or water tube that is leaking.

Rk for Model Number RF4287HABP/XAA

Water dispenser makes a "jackhammer" type noise for first few seconds. Water dispenses normally and icemaker works, but also makes the noise when refilling. Refrig is 5+ years old and there has been no change in water pressure, but I have tried lowering the pressure, but to no avail. Recently replaced the filter with Samsung brand filter, but noise did not start until weeks later. Also tried another filter just to be sure. Could it be the Water Inlet Valve DA97-07827B or the filter housing?

1 Answer

RK, In most cases when you get a jackhammer noise this will be caused by a faulty filter head assembly which would need replaced.
