Lilmrshandy March 21, 2022 for Model Number WA54R2700AW Samsung washer will agitate just fine but will not go into spin cycle during regular cycles yet it will when running auto calibration and also on rinse/spin cycle. Initially shut off on a balance error due to an overload of laundry. Only 14 months on the dryer, all obvious reasons have been ruled out.
1 Answer Hello lilmrshandy, since the washer will go into spin mode on at least one cycle but not on others, and not displaying a Fault code, it is likely the main control board is failing DC92-02393M. Read More...
Mike January 11, 2022 for Model Number WF209ANW/Xaa 01 No bad noises or anything, just the tub does not spin. No error messages, and it sounds like the motor is trying to spin. I removed the stator and it comes up at 2 OHMs....is this a bad stator? I have never used a multimeter before so it could completely be operator error.
1 Answer Mike, If you are getting a reading of 2 ohms of resistance then the Stator would be the issue. The stator should have a resistance between any of the terminals on it of 11.5 ohms. Read More...
Ttr December 27, 2021 for Model Number Samsung washer WF45M5500AW/A5 Shortly after the start of any program cycle and before it lets in any water, it clicks and goes blank. after a few seconds it lights up again and after a few seconds it clicks and goes blank again, This keeps repeating. The clikcs come from the bottom in the back and from the power supply/controller. Any ideas?
1 Answer TTr, it would be recommended that the unit is checked for any wires that may be grounded out. If there is not a grounded wire, the failure would most likely be in the main power control DC92-01982A. Unfortunately, this part has been discontinued and is no longer available. Read More...
Travis December 13, 2021 for Model Number WA48J7770AP/A2 I think I have the same issue with my spin not working. I’ve tested the stater and it’s 12ohm. When in spin test mode if I go and manually move the stater to get it started the spin starts and goes to max speed I believe. I haven’t tested the hall sensor but would that be next?
1 Answer Hello Travis, If the tub will spin if you manually turn it and it picks up speed then if the stator windings ohm out equally between any 2 of the 3 terminals and the wire harness connector to them is secure then likely the motor drive circuit in the mainboard is weak, it is part DC92-01021V. Pete September 05, 2021 for Model Number WF405ATPASU/AA-0000 My washer gets the 3E3 error code.. I found that the Motor Power (W) red conductor was broken at the connector at the stator. I ordered a new connector and spliced it in. All conductors ohm out good now from the control board to the stator. When I run the SpN test, the drum spins up to full RPM. When I run the TsT test, it will rotate each way, then consistently error out in the same spots. If I manually turn the rotor to the known dead spot, it will error out. If I move it away from the spot, it will complete the test and even a wash cycle without error. I found the stator to be 12.4 Ohms between the windings and the hall sensor is 4.85VDC between pin 1 and 4. And ranging between 0-1.183VDC between pin 2 and 4, and 3 and 4 as the rotor is spinning. I did notice that at the dead spots where the drum will fail to spin and produces the 3E3 error, the hall sensor is reading 1.183VDC on both pins 2 and 3. I am thinking the Hall sensor is bad as it should be going up higher in voltage and it is getting stuck at the spots where the two channels are both at 1.183VDC. Is this correct? I don’t have any documentation for troubleshooting. Do you have a troubleshooting manual for my washer? Samsung WF405ATPASU/AA
1 Answer Pete, If you are getting 12.4 ohms of resistance on any of the terminals for the stator then it would be faulty. The stator should have a resistance of 6 ohms. For the hall sensor, do a resistance test and between pins 1 and 3 and 1 and 4 there should be a resistance of 2 to 4 Mohms. Read More...
Salman April 08, 2021 for Model Number WF45M5500AP/A5-00 Hi, my washer doesnt spin at spin cycle. It tries to spin but doesnt. I got a technician and he told me to replace the motor sensor DC31-00098A. I got a generic one instead of Samsung original but when we put it on the machine we still have the same issue. Nothing got fixed. Would the reason be generic brand of sensor? Should i get a samsung one? Or what could be the other problem? Technician said everything else looks fine as there is no error code on the machine.
1 Answer Salman, while it would be recommended that a manufacturer OEM part is used, the rotor position sensor can be tested from the main control and inverter assembly DC92-01982A. At the connection CN2 of the inverter while the power is on to the washer but it is not running, voltage can be tested from pin 1 (red meter probe) to pin 4 (black meter probe) for 5VDC. If there is correct voltage, the red meter probe would move to pin 2 and the rotor would be moved by hand, there should be a pulsing DC signal around 3.7VDC. If voltage is good, the red probe would move to pin 3 for the same test. If these all check good, or if the initial 5VDC test failed, then the main control/inverter assembly has failed and would need to be replaced. Read More...
Nguyen October 24, 2020 for Model Number WF42H5200AW/A2 washer won't spin on normal load... drum tries to turn .. kinda jerks/twitches while turning.. pauses and tries again and water keeps filling up (over fill). It kind of works for lighter load but does a bit of same jerking/twitching but able to turn eventually. Keep filling water during spin but eventually can finish cycle. Was able to run a self-cleaning a few days ago. Was able to run a spin test. Found some probably old tE4 codes and 4E when i forgot to turn the water on. drum and spider assy. all in good condition. bearings were just replaced to fix high pitch noise while spinning. saw some rusty marks on the stator. I don't know what else to check next, can you advise on what can be done next? Thank you!
1 Answer Nguyen, Check the stator to make sure that it is not cracked and check the RPS sensor and the rotor and stator for cracks. Check wiring for damage. If all this checks ok then the issue will be a faulty control board. Read More...
George October 18, 2020 for Model Number WF393BTPARA/A2-0000 I replaced the spider arm assy DC97-17004E on my washer. The part arrived fast! I assembled the washer but now the washer will not spin with a 3E error code. The tub spins freely by hand. My stator DC31-00111A measures 12.3 ohms between all 3. The washer used to spin fine before the repair. But was stuck in the spin cycle. Is my stator bad too?
1 Answer Hello George, the control board is not detecting motor rotor movement through the Rotor Position Senor assembly that is attached to the motor stator, check if the wire harness to it has come loose. Read More...
Jim August 06, 2020 for Model Number wf45h6300AG/A2 My Samsung 45H6300AG/A2 is showing a 3E2 error. It'll begin to fill but then stops after appearing to unsuccessfully attempt to move the drum. I've run diagnostics as best I can. Fails the spin test. Motor check is at spec--my manual says 12 ohms. Hall sensor check shows 2.1 V between pins 4 and 2 as well as 4 and 3. My manual says it should be 1.3V. Might my technical information manual, which came with the washer, have incorrect info? I'm beginning to conclude that I should replace the PCB but now I'm uncertain about the hall sensor.
1 Answer Jim, based on the information provided, the stator DC31-00124A has failed as the windings should only measure 6O when measured across any two of the three winding terminals. Read More...
Michael August 04, 2020 for Model Number Samsung WF42H5200AP When washer goes on any cycle option it goes until it gets stuck between rinse and spin cycle. The time remaining also gets stuck. Even for Spin only cycle, it gets stuck at 9 minutes and continuously slow spins. When I do a spin test in diagnostic mode, it is able to reach max RPM (about 1200) no problem. No stored error codes. Technician recommended to replace the drive motor and rotor. Does getting these parts replaced sound right?
1 Answer I am not one to go against another tech but before I changed out those parts for your issue, I would be sure my machine is getting cold water. I often find when a washer stops between rinse and spin it is due to a cold water valve issue. I would check the flow of cold water into the tub. If it seems slow, remove and clean the screen on the cold water inlet valve. If you find no cold water coming in check for voltage and replace valve if needed. Read More...
