Joyce June 12, 2019 for Model Number WA400PJHDWR/AA-0001 I have removed the pulsator cap and the nut and have been trying to get the pulsator out. I have inserted a screwdriver in each 3 slots and pushed with all my might and the PULSATOR WILL NOT COME LOOSE! Help.
1 Answer Joyce, to remove the pulsator, once the cap and bolt are removed, a flat head screwdriver can be used to insert into one of the three slots and pull up. The pulsator can sometimes be stuck on the splines of the shaft assembly, which will cause it to be difficult to pull the pulsator up. However, even with a stuck pulsator it should pull up. It can help to pull up on the screwdriver and rotate to the next slot and repeat, thereby "shimmying" the pulsator up and out. Read More...
Jason January 19, 2019 for Model Number WA48J7700AW/AW Sounds like the pulsator cap issue is widespread... mine broke off, tab stuck in slot so replacement cap wont install. Tried to remove pulsator bolt with a socket wrench and the bolt head snapped right off, now Samsung wants $500+ to send 2 technicians to tear the whole unit apart. Tried drilling a hole in the bolt to use an extractor but no success. Can we replace the whole bottom plate?? Is it even worth it? Can't believe we're getting rid of a perfectly good washer because of an $8 piece of plastic and a cheap bolt.
1 Answer Jason, For this issue the bolt screws down into the gearcase housing and if you are unable to get the bolt out then you would need to replace DC97-15494E. Read More...
June October 28, 2018 for Model Number Samsung washer # WA48H7400AW/A2 I purchased the agitator cap DC66-00777A, but the plastic prongs broke when trying to install. Is there some magic way of installing a new cap without breaking the prongs? There were no installation instructions in the part pkg.
1 Answer June, There is usually one slot in the agitator that the cap fits and the other two snap and lock it in. Read More...

Angela June 01, 2018 My washer is producing gray/brown sludge after each load. After much research, I've discovered that it is coming from underneath the pulsator cap on my Samsung top load washer. My questions are: how can I safely remove the cap? How do I properly clean the crud out? Can I remove the cap and run a hot water cycle to clean underneath without the cap? Thank you
1 Answer Hello Angela, There should be a plastic cap that can be removed to allow access to the pulsator retaining screw. When removed, the pulsator will lift out, The area and bottom of pulsator should be cleaned with a plastic bristled brush and hot white vinegar. A sanitation cycle should be run after reassembly. For more details, we would need to ask you to please post a new question that includes the model number from the units' I.D. tag. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Billy Riddell December 28, 2017 for Model Number WA48J7770AP/A2 Part# DC66-00777A broke and I am waiting for the part to arrive can I use the washer without the part? I really need to wash and don't want to go to the laundry mat.
1 Answer Billy, The pulsator cap covers the mounting screw and interior of the pulsator/agitator. You will most likely damage any articles washed in the machine. Any "special" or delicate you may want to wait until the cap arrives. Heavier articles (Jeans, towels, underwear) may survive without too much damage. Read More...
