Cillie May 07, 2014 for Model Number 3XLA87W72AWO My machine went off balance. Somewhere I read that if this happens something brakes to prevent damage to a motor. What part do I have to check/order. The drum also spins very rough if you open the lid during the spinning action. I need to do the agitator repair kit replacement. But at the bottom I saw a seal that needs to be replaced on another site. My machine did not have one. Is it missing? what is the part number so that I can replace it? https://www.repairave.com/img/wpl_w_dd_agitator7.jpg regards cillie
Robert D. April 19, 2014 for Model Number LWA6gaw I have an older Amana washer that the suspension spring broke on. How do I get to it to replace it?
1 Answer Hello Robert, You will need to remove the two screw at the bottom of the front panel and remove the front panel. You will then need to use special tool TJ22002922 to remove and install the springs. This will prevent over extending the new springs and causing out of balance situations. Read More...
Matt February 26, 2014 for Model Number whirlpool-lsr7133kq0 Machine is unbalanced and will not run correctly in spin cycle. Checked level of unit, counter balance, and motor. What else could cause my issue? Thanks for the help!
1 Answer Hello Matt, As long as the liquid is still in the spin basket W10389329 upper ring, the problem is probably either the spanner nut WP21366 has come loose or the skate plate WP3946509 is in need of replacement. Read More...
Steve December 14, 2013 for Model Number whirlpool thin twin What do you do to remedy a rear self leveling leg on whirlpool that is stuck too far in after moving it ? what holds/releases the leg to adjust height ???
1 Answer Steve, The rear leveling legs are self leveling and if the leg is stuck in the upper position then you will need to use a pair of pliers or channel locks to pull it back down. It may be necessary to take the cabinet off the unit and check the leveler to see if it is broken and if so then replace. Read More...
Alia June 09, 2013 for Model Number LSR7233BQ2 Washer tub doesn't seem to be centered, there is too much play and it causes water during rinse/spin cycle to splash onto the backside of the tub. I watched the videos about the suspension spring but I wanted to be sure this would be the proper fix.
1 Answer Hello Alia. You do need to lean the unit backwards and check the spring to see if it is bad and broken. Read More...
Terri March 31, 2013 for Model Number 11091521210 After my washer is done spinning the clothes are still pretty wet, I have been running them through the spin cycle again. What could this be?
1 Answer Hello Terri. Check the brive block and the clutch assembly on the unit. Either one can cause the issue you are having with the unit. Look for wear on the drive block, if it is good, then check the lobe on the clutch and look for wear. Read More...
Alexa P December 03, 2012 for Model Number Whirlpool WTW57ESV Top Load Whenever our spin cycle is done the washer stops and there is a loud banging and thumping noise. Its like the inner basket is moving or the unit it resisting the stop. We took the washer apart and are going to replace the springs just to be safe but could it be something else?
1 Answer Hello Alexa, Based on the information provided it sounds like you have a bad clutch assembly on the unit. The clutch 285785 would need to be replaced. The following link is a video that will show you how to replace the clutch assembly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7RS1l6t8efc&autoplay=1 Read More...
Mike October 20, 2012 for Model Number Whirlpool Thintwin LTE6234AW1 My washing machine goes out of balance everytime during the spin cycle. I had to take it apart and put a new pump on it and I think I may have misplaced one of the springs. The drum sits far to the front. Is there supposed to be a spring on the back of the drum connecting to the frame to pull the tub back? Would that cause the drum to always go unbalanced?
1 Answer Hello Mike, The counter balance spring WPW10250667 gives enough tension on the rear of the tub assembly to hold the tub assembly up straight. It is necessary because of the weight on the front of the tub assembly from the motor and pump assembly. Read More...
Bruce September 22, 2012 for Model Number 110-24422300 my washer leaks when filling a spring was broken at bottom ( the smaller one) other 3 are fine, i replaced the broken, but the basket does not seem to be far enought back, causing water to spill on floor when filling. is there only the 4 springs and how con i get the basket furter back?
1 Answer Bruce, Did you also check the counter balnce spring WPW10250667, it attaches the the center rear of the base assembly and the tub "skate plate" WP3946509. You may also want to check and make sure the Skate plate has not overrotated and "slipped off" the base assembly 285771 . Read More...
