Miguel February 17, 2019 for Model Number WGD7990XG0 Hi, I ordered dryer repair kit to fix squeaking. The kit included 4 drum roller wheels 1 belt and idle arm pulley wheel .I replaced per video tips. It worked very well, no squeaking. I dried 3 loads of clothes no problems. Next morning I go to dry a load of clothes and there is a bad clunking in the dryer. I open the dryer up and the two front wheels have flat spots on them. They were no flat spots when I installed them. Any ideas or suggestions? Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter. Miguel
1 Answer Miguel, flat spots on rubber rollers sometimes happens, the rubber gets hot from the warm drum, when the dryer stops, it can form a flat spot. Normally when you start up the dryer, the heat will soften the rubber on the roller and the thumping will go away. Read More...

Gilbert July 01, 2017 for Model Number GEW9200LW0 We are repainting the inside of our drum because the paint started to peel. We have had the dryer for about 14 years. Is there any reason that we should replace the belt?
1 Answer Hello Gilbert, If the belt 661570V is not cracking or frayed, it will not require replacement. You should also consider replacing the complete drum assembly W10545924 since the baked on enamel will not stain or damage clothing where the spray on enamel will normally chip off causing issues and fabric damage complaints. Joanne June 08, 2017 My dryer turns on but nothing happens. I opened the housing and found a broken belt. I did not hear the motor turn on when it had power. Can it be more than just the belt?
1 Answer Hello Joanne. If the belt is broke, you probably just need to replace the belt. Make sure your idler pulley is good on the unit. Read More...

Christina December 17, 2014 for Model Number WED9500TW0 My dryer was making a high pitched squeal for a couple of weeks, then stopped squealing. The drum turns fine, and the clothes got dry just fine as well. Last night the dryer made a loud clunk noise and stopped. The lights were still on, but when the back was taken out, now the belt is frayed. How to repair this?
Bill P. November 03, 2014 for Model Number wed9400SUO My dryer turns really slow when we put a normal load in it, but if we lighten the load 1/4 to half it seems to run at normal speed. Question: Would this be caused by a worn out belt or is there something else causing this? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Bill, This is most likely an electrically stressed motor 279787 winding. If it were due to a mechanical issue opposing drum rotation, there would be a squeaking, squeeling or grinding noise along with the rotation of the drum. Read More...
