For Whirlpool Main Control Board (Part Number: OEM18082275)

Mike for Model Number MFI2568AES

replaced the HV board in my Maytag fridge. The ice flapper door and front display were going crazy and it stopped cooling. Here is the question. I replaced the board with a remanufactured one. I knew I would have to program it when I got it put in and plugged in fridge. When I plugged it in though I didn't get the PE0000 codes I was expecting I got the 0 for the freezer temp and the 38 for the fridge temp and everything started working. It has been 12 hrs since the repair but it is not making ice in the auto ice maker? All switches on front display work, water comes out, ice auger works and it's cooled to desire temps. Does it take maybe 24 hrs for ice to be made and why didn't I have to program it? thank you

Hello Troy. For your model number, W10890094 is the correct board. Sometimes it can take several attempts to get the board programmed properly. You can not pause while programming the board. If you do you will have to start over again. If you can not get it, then you will need to contact a certified tech to come out and program it for you.

Kameme for Model Number AFI2538AEQ

The electronic display on my Amana refrigerator (Model AFI2538AEQ) was flashing and the flapper for the ice maker was flapping. I had a local guy come in and "fix" the unit with the High Voltage Control Board (12920710), but it would not work with the specified code 1412 in my unit. He defaulted to a code that I had found on your website 0302. However, the icemaker never worked after that. I would like to purchase this part from you, but I must have assurance that the code 1412 for my refrigerator will interface with this part. Thanks

Hello Kameme, W10890094 should work properly with the code from the units' I.D. tag. If not, refer to the manufacturers' note: Use this PCB for series 10 and below. For series 12 and up use WPW10310240, If you have a Maytag and part 12920710 doesn't work, the replacement board Is WPW10312695. Note that the series number is the first two numbers of the serial number.

David, The unit can still be used as long as it is cooling. If you stick a towel or something in the ice door to keep it from flapping until the HV board arrives.
