Hello Brian, If the light is not coming on when the freezer door is opened you will need to verify the icemaker is not in a harvest mode. This would explain the voltage drop and the fact that the optics light is not illuminating. Check the two tabs in the center of the icemaker cycling wheel located on the motor module. If the tabs are broken and contacting one another, it will throw the timing of the motor module off so that the icemaker will not complete a cycle. This could be corrected by replacing the icemaker assembly 2198597 or the motor module W10190935.

Troy, the fill tube freezing up is going to indicate that the water valve W10408179 is leaking by and would need to be replaced.

John, the optical sensor may not be functioning properly. If you have the door switch depressed and the optical hinge pressed in with no obstructions, then you should get 120v AC to the icemaker at the black wire. If you do not get 120v at the icemaker connection, then you have a bad optical sensor W11629974.

John, Open the freezer door and view the diagnostics “status” LED. Two (2) pulses followed by a one (1)second delay (repeated) indicates either the flapper door on the emitter is blocking the beam or the optics are faulty. Press in the emitter flapper door to unblock the optics beam. Two (2) pulses followed by a one (1) second delay (repeated) indicates the Optics W10757851 are faulty. If the LED is on steady the Optics are working properly.

Scott for Model Number ED2KHAXVB01

Having icemaker issue. The icemaker IS making ice, but is producing it slowly. Here's why: It's a 5 cube maker, and when the water turns on to fill the tray, it is only filling 2-3 of the cube molds at a time. It doesn't fill all 5 molds. I've already ruled out water pressure and the water supply line: the regular water dispenser in the door gives a strong steady stream in your glass. My question is whether the problem would be fixed by replacing the water inlet valve or the ice level power control board (W10757851). I've been all over the internet, and people talk about their icemaker NOT making ice at all. But would a new control board solve my issue as well? Thanks.

Scott, I don't think replacing the board would fix your lack of water in the icemaker problem, I would recommend replacing the inlet valve, part number is W10822681

Hello Terry, You should first check the wiring harness at the bottom of the freezer door since it can become damaged or loose from the opening and closing of the door. This would also be the place to check for voltage to the dispenser assembly. If no voltage is present you will need to check for voltage from the control WPW10209635 on the P8 terminals.
