Ken March 06, 2016 for Model Number Whirlpool #GC3PHEXNS00 I need to replace the control board 2307037 inside the drop down control panel AP3959539. How do I remove the trim housing? The light is not attached to the housing so taking those screws out won't help. There are openings for four screws, but none in place. It seems like it must just clip in place, but wanted to ask before trying to pry it off because the trim AP3730101 is no longer available.
1 Answer Ken, You would just need to get a flat blade between the housing and the cabinet and pry down on it. There would be clips holding it in place. Read More...
Henry March 01, 2016 for Model Number Kitchen Aid Refrigerator KSCS23FTBT01 Temperature display changes from deg. F to deg C without command. Small door in the top of the refrigerator does not change positions - stays open and causes refrigerated section to get too cold and freeze food. Does the display board control this door?
1 Answer Hello Henry. It sounds like the control box W10175591 and the control board WP2307037 will need to be replaced in the unit. Also, check and make sure the damper door WP2220377 is not damaged on the unit as well. Read More...
Marshall January 23, 2016 for Model Number KSCS25INSS02 I scheduled appointment for repair of KitichenAid refrigerator. Model no. KSCS25INSS02. They sent out part number: 2307037 as control board. Will this control board fit my refrigerator. Is it the correct part?
Rgripper January 16, 2016 for Model Number KSC23INBLOO part 2307037 I ordered the refrigerator control part. 2307027 for a KSC23BL00 FYI there are three clips in the back of the white housing. They help hold the light cover, but you also have to inset a flat head screwdriver in each to free the back of the housing to get to the control board. My problem is that after I connect the control board, the percent of water filtration comes on (88%) and the holiday light glows, but then they go out and the unit remains dark. No other lights come on. I have tried reconnecting and making sure all the connections are tight, but same results. The indicator lines on the plastic ribbon connectors seem to be lined up. I am not sure what else to try. Thanks
1 Answer Rgripper, Try to reset the water filter indicator and turn off the holiday setting. If this does not correct the issue then you may have received a faulty control board. Read More...
Craig December 28, 2015 for Model Number GC5NHAXVY01 I need to replace the control board 2307037 inside the drop down control panel. How do I remove the housing? The light is not attached to the housing so taking those screws out won't help. There are openings for four screws, but none in place (maybe used when using this part on other model?). It seems like it must just clip in place, but wanted to ask before trying to pry it off because the trim 2306952 is no longer available.
1 Answer Craig, From what it appears, you would pull down on the control panel of the unit. This appears to have 2 knobs at the back that keep it from falling down but the front should just pull straight down or get a flat blade between the trim and the panel and kinda pry down. Read More...
Marisa November 18, 2015 for Model Number GC5SHEXNS03 I received this used fridge and had it installed in my home last week. It was working just fine previously. Once it was in my house, I noticed that when I opened either the freezer door or the fridge door, the light would not come on. It was cold inside however. I shut the door, then re opened it (did this a few times) and then the light would come back on (both sides). Is this an issue with the control board? I find it odd that it had been working fine before and then it's moved into my house and now it's not.
1 Answer Marisa, You will want to check the light switches on the unit to see if they are making good contact. If the switches check ok then the control board would be the issue. Also make sure that the bulbs are in all the way. Read More...

Holly K July 13, 2015 for Model Number Whirlpool gold model gc5nhaxvs01 Hello, The freezer side of the fridge stops working every few weeks. I pull it away from the wall, unplug for 1-2 minutes and plug it in and it starts working again. The fridge part is fine and keeps a perfect temp. I have vacuumed the condenser coils with no resolution to the problem. I was told over the phone the only way to diagnose is to call when it happens and they felt 90% it was the electronic control board needed replacing but would know for sure once they came during the problem only to confirm. They said the control board no longer available and would need to be "rebuilt" taking 10 days if it was the problem. Can you give me advice if you feel this is what is wrong. The fridge is only 5 years old. Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Holly. Based on the information you provided, it does sound like the board is the issue and it will need to be rebuilt on the unit. Read More...
1 Answer Hello John, I'm sorry but this part WP2307037 has been discontinued by the manufacturer and no satisfactory substitutions have been provided. Read More...
Greg May 18, 2015 for Model Number KSCS25INSS00 Ice maker was making ice intermittently over the last few weeks and has now stopped all together. In the past this was most likely due to a bad ice maker, however in reading on your site this could also be related to a faulty ice dispenser control board. How can you determine which is faulty?
1 Answer Greg, Yes the issue could be the I R dispenser control boards W11629974, the test/diagnosis is relatively easy. Open the freezer door, observe the red LED light on the right side of the freezer wall. If the LED light flashes twice then pauses and repeats, this indicates the flapper on the left side wall is blocking the IR beam, or the optics are faulty. Press in on the flapper on the left side of the wall, if the LED light continues to flash twice and pause and repeats, then the optics boards will need to be replaced. If the LED remains on solid after the flapper is pressed in then you'll need to check or replace the ice maker. Read More...
