It could be one of the three parts; Defrost Board 61005988 Defrost Thermostat or Defrost Heater WP61006199 (on your model they are considered an assembly). Hello Larry. You will need to test the compressor and make sure it is good. If it test good, you will need to change the relay W10920279 and the overload WP61006295 on the unit. Hello SCH. Yes, a bad defrost control could cause this problem. You will need to test the heater and thermostat and make sure they are good. They should read closed for continuity when cold. Hope this helps.

Hello! There is a relay on the adaptive defrost control board when it goes out it can cause a rattling noise. The part number is 61005988. Thanks!

Hello Reyna, The cover unsnaps to install the board. Once the new board is installed, you can reattach the white cover. Hope this helps.

First you remove the control panel cover. Then you will remove the screws holding the light assembly inplace. There is a screw on the back wall that needs to come out as well to get the light assembly to drop down. Once you drop down the light assembly, you will see the board in the back right corner of it. Reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps.

You can test the thermostat and heater using a multi-meter. Both of these should read closed when cold. If both of these test good, then you have a bad adaptive defrost board. We can look this information for you, but will require your model number to provide the part number.
