Melinda M. September 30, 2011 for Model Number DWU6750AAM My dishwasher works fine except it keeps stopping midcycle. The dishwasher restarts when I push on the door, but then it stops again,so I have to keep pushing on the door several times during the cycle to get it to finish. I had a repairman in to look at the dishwasher, and he said it's a relatively easy repair, and that I need a latch and catch assembly. He showed me the wires that attach into each side of the latch assembly and said that my husband, who is handy, could replace it as long as he replaced each wire carefully into the new assembly(after turning of the electricity, of course). The 'latch assembly' that he was talking about is part of the door, and the 'catch' is the little plastic piece on the main part of the dishwasher that clicks into the latch when you close the door. Can you tell me what parts to buy to complete this job?
1 Answer Hello Melinda. 99002254 is the door latch assembly, and WP99001355 latch hook, and 6-912650 retainer will need to be ordered to replace the parts you were needing. Hope this helps. Read More...

Bjh August 17, 2011 for Model Number MDB5000AWA My dishwasher stopped during the wash cycle. It now acts like it has no power. I have the checked the plug and it is fine. Have not checked the power due to not having the right tool to check for voltage.
1 Answer Hello BJH. You will need to test and see if the door switches 99002254 are bad. Also, make sure the latch is not broke. If so, it will cause the problems your having. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Elsje August 11, 2011 for Model Number MDB4100AWW Maytag dishwasher I have NO trouble closing and starting my dishwasher at present, but the machine is increasingly difficult to open, even though I push up the little plastic plate in the door opening mechanism all the way. I am concerned that one day soon my dishes will be stuck inside. Is AP4113223 the part I need and is it difficult to install? Thank you for your help. Elsje
1 Answer Hello Elsje. Check and make sure the handle W10834433 is not broke. If it is good, you will need to replace the latch assembly 99002254. These are not hard to do. Just disconnect the power to the unit and remove the inner door panel and remove the cover from the door latch. Remove the old latch and reinstall in reverse order with the new latch. Hope this helps. Read More...
