The Drain & Wash Impeller Kit is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. This kit includes components critical for the efficient movement of water within the dishwasher, both for washing the dishes and draining the water at the end of the cycle. The impeller aids in creating the necessary water pressure to clean dishes effectively and ensures that water is properly expelled from the dishwasher.

Symptoms of a failing Drain & Wash Impeller Kit include:

  • Dishes not being cleaned thoroughly
  • Water not draining properly from the dishwasher, leaving standing water
  • Unusual noises during the wash or drain cycles, such as grinding or humming
  • The dishwasher cycle taking longer than usual or not completing
  • Visible damage or wear to the impeller components

Causes of a bad impeller kit can include normal wear and tear from regular use, blockages or debris that damage the impeller blades, or issues with the motor that affect impeller performance.

This OEM part is also compatible with some models from brands such as Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore.

For Whirlpool Drain & Wash Impeller Kit (Part Number: OEM9345549)

Hi Roger. This question is involved. Do you have good water pressure ? It is recommended to insure you have at least 120 degrees incoming by checking temperature at the sink. What kind of soap are you using? Remember, that all states no longer have phosphates included. So depending on your water hardness, you should consider using a water hardness test kit to evaluate the amount of additional soap needed per grains of water hardness you might have. Check all of your wash arms to see if the "jet holes " are plugged ( especially on the ends). Then if so you need to remove the arms and flush them out. Use a pick tool to dislodge particles that might be clogging your jets. Make sure your incoming water fill is filling to the bottom of your water heater. Clean out tub filters to insure proper water flow and pressure. Hope this helps. Thank-you

Hello Robert. You will need to check and see what the water level is inside the dishwasher. It should be up near the bottom of the heater. If it is low, you could have a bad water valve 3374621. You can inspect the impeller and see if it is stripped out. If so, you will need to replace the impeller kit. Hope this helps.

Hello Susan! If it is leaking from the top and bottom of the door check to make sure the door is aligned properly and is closing all the way. If it is, you will have a problem with the gasket WPW10509257. For the filming issue, make sure you are using the correct amount of detergent per water hardness. The amount of detergent should be increased according to the degree of water hardness (one teason per grain). You can clean glass ware in undiluted vinegar. Also try running a load without any dishes with vinegar to clean the inside of the dishwasher. Hope this helps!

Jill for Model Number Replacement parts in Pump and Motor section of WHIRLPOOL KUDR24SEAL1 UNDER COUNTER DISHWASHER

We were directed to this response-- Check the drain pump and drain hose for cloggs. If all is clear, you may need a new drain pump. Here is the link to your unit's diagrams: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=238652&diagram_id=28213068#d28213068 . If you refer to # 25 in the diagram you see part of the drain pumpAP3120030, # 33 is the drain pump AP3083678. Hope this helps! New question followup...do you need to take apart everything in order to check 33. If so, We started to take everything apart and cannot find a socket to fit #12. In between 6mm and 7mm and less than 8/32. What size would fit?

Hello Jill. You can remove the drain hose from under the sink and from the pump assembly without disassembling the whole thing. You will need to uninstall the dishwasher to do so. Hope this helps.
