Ian April 02, 2015 for Model Number MEDB800VQ0 Would there be any reason why my Maytag MEDB800VQ0 would cause my electricity bill to double? I am pretty sure it is my dryer. Dryer doesn't dry well on normal setting so we dry most of the time using the timed dry setting. Also, the normal dryer setting will not allow me to adjust the time at all. Thank you!
1 Answer Hello Ian, If the timed dry is the only cycle that will dry the clothes and you have to run the clothes more than one cycle to dry them, the exhaust duct should be checked. This is the ducting in the home that carries the heat, lint, and moisture out of the home. This would also cause the automatic cycles not to operate properly. Flexible ducting can fill with water or lint and can also be crimped by sliding the dryer against the wall so it should be checked closely. Read More...

Rich January 30, 2015 for Model Number Kenmore Electronic Dryer - models 6600,07600, C6601 Cycle Status Lights. Turn on dryer and "Check Lint Screen" light (bottom one) comes on. Have always cleaned lint screen, did again and the exhaust duct. Turned on again and same light comes on and when push start only get a click (sounds like an electric switch trying to contact) and dryer will not start. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Rich, While this sounds like a thermistor issue, we actually need the complete model number from the units' I.D. tag, including the three digits before the "." to look up the specific model you have. I'm sorry but this is necessary to pull the wiring diagram, (if this is a model we can pull this info on since Kenmore doesn't share a lot of their information), for a proper diagnosis. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
