Larry September 19, 2018 for Model Number LER8648LW0 I am looking to purchase repair kit 4392065, but the contents of the kit are shown to be less $ when the same are purchased as individual parts. In other responses you mention the kit to be far cheaper. Please advise.
1 Answer Larry, Because the unit uses 2 rollers it would be a little cheaper to purchase the kit rather than purchasing the individual parts. Read More...
Cindi-Joy July 15, 2018 for Model Number DADT-ELE-2406024-EL54 I would like info for the best setting to wash & more importantly the best setting for dryer. Washer/dryer duo are used in a salon. We use micro fiber towels. Unsure of which settings to use because towels don't stay soft for long. Towels recommend not using any softeners or dryer sheets. Its kept on low, but which setting should be used?
1 Answer Cindi, For the wash a delicate setting on cold water would be best and for drying the low setting would be the best setting to have it on. If you have an auto dry cycle then use this cycle and if timed try 30 minutes to start with and if not dry then add 10 minutes. Also check to make sure that the units venting is clean and not clogged up. Read More...

Gus M January 12, 2017 for Model Number WED6400SW1 I am a bit confused, It says I should get repair kit 4392065 which has replaced kit 279948 listed in the manual, but the idler pulley assembly looks totally different, the one in the manual has a bracket and spring and bolts on to the support (8547174) but the one in the kit shows an idler pulley assembly that simply slides into an opening on the dryer and is held in place by the belt tension
1 Answer Gus, The repair kit design may have changed as far as the idler pulley is considered and may be different than the one you have. You would need to get an additional idler pulley for this model. Read More...
Tom January 09, 2017 for Model Number WED6600VW0 Forgot my e-mail address. The kit you sent is not compatible with the referenced model number. The idler fully is completely different. The dryer in question is a Whirlpool Cabrio.
Tom January 09, 2017 for Model Number WED6600VW0 There is no way the kit you sent is compatible with the Whirlpool Cabrio dryer. The idler fully is completely different.
Rick January 01, 2017 for Model Number LE5700XSWO RE: Whirlpool Electric Dryer LE5700XSWO I have purchased individual parts as needed in the past, but I think a complete dryer repair kit is what I need this time. Do I order Repair Kit Part # 4392065 ? The dryer is really noisy as if the drum is no longer supported well. Belt was changed 5 years ago but I don't mind changing it again as part of the "overhaul".
1 Answer Rick, Yes the 4392065 / 4392065 Dryer Repair kit will fit and work in the model number you supplied. The belt will be 1/4 in. shorter than the original belt, and have 4 ribs instead of 5. As you know, the kit includes rear drum rollers, replacement idler pulley assembly, and instructions. This should upgrade and keep your dryer working for quite sometime. You may want to order TJ93240 Turbine oil, and apply a few drops of oil to the rollers and shafts as well as the idler pulley, it'll help "break in" the assemblies and help keep you from having to repeat the process sooner than later. The part is in stock and available at this time. Thanks, Read More...
Robert April 13, 2016 for Model Number DADT-ELE-2406024-EL54 The dryer quit would not run at all. the element was burned out so I replaced it. It still want come on all of the lights on the panel come on but want start when I push the start button. I have checked and I have 240 volts coming to the dryer. When the original heating burned out it arced to the side of the housing. Could that have caused the control board to go bad. Robert
1 Answer Hello Robert. Make sure the thermal fuse and door switch is good. If so, you will need to replace the board on the unit. Read More...
