Hello Stanley, sounds like the sensor on the element itself has gone bad and you'll more than likely have to replace surface element part number WPW10275049. Thanks!

Hello Mary, This can be caused by the element W11517959 or the dual switch infinite WPW10434452. The cooktop indicator light being on makes the surface element the more likely cause for model WFE515S0EB0.

Hello Betty. You have to look on the parts diagram for the model number you have. The model number will have to be verified on the units I.D. tag since the one listed came up invalid. This will be necessary to look up and specific parts such as the one you requested. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. We will need your model number to help you with this. Please call 1-877-477-7278 or post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx

Kira for Model Number MER7662WW1

Hi there - I have a MER7662WW1 stove with a burned left front element. According to the website, part number W10178016 (AP4370049) is what I need (apparently works for MER7662WW1 and WW0). But when I opened my stovetop, I found that what was already in there was a burned-out part number W10169796 (AP4369304) (supposed to only work with MER7662WW2 and WW3). Which should I buy? The one that the online listing says I need, or the one that matches what's in the stovetop now? -Kira

Hello Kira. It is best to order the one that matches your old part. It could be a case of yours was one of the last WW1 models and they ran out of the W10178016. Therefore, they will use the new part on the unit. It is best to use the one that replaces the old one in your model.
